Awesome Top Floor Unit with Amazing Views of Ocean and Pools

Back on the rental market! This beautiful, renovated 2 bedroom condo, is in the perfect location on the top floor of the Anthurium Building. It is an ocean front corner unit facing southwest; so the lanai is not exposed to the direct strong trade winds of the north side of the complex. The views from the lanai's of both the Living Room and Master Bedroom, look down the beautiful south Kihei coastline, with amazing ocean views.
You can also enjoy the scenery from inside the comfy living room, kitchen or bedroom; as you watch the whales, windsurfers, the pool below, tennis courts, and shuffleboard activities.
This unit has on suite bathrooms with new showers in both the Master, and Guest bedrooms.
The Master bedroom has a King size bed, that looks out to the ocean view.
The Guest bedroom has a Queen bed, with its own AC unit and controls.
Enjoy relaxing on the new Living room sofa and lounge seat. The sofa has a hide-a bed foam mattress perfect for sleeping small children. The condo has a Dining table off the kitchen, as well as a dining table on the lanai, that can seat 6. The outdoor dining is a wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee, and afternoon cocktails while watching the spectacular sunsets.
The Kitchen has new cabinets with quartz counter tops, dishwasher, stove & oven, microwave, and all the little conveniences to enjoy creating your gourmet meals.
The new floors are wood plank throughout, with tile in the bathrooms and lanai.
Kauhale Makai does not allow washer/dryers in any of the condo units, but we have a very nice laundry facility just down the hall on the 6th floor..

Perfect Vacation Rental

John and Darla's property is exactly as described and shown. It had everything we needed (and more!) for our stay and we could not have been more pleased with our stay. The property is in a perfect location in Kihei and was a great starting point for our many adventures. The views from the lanai were breathtaking and never got old; we ate every meal out there. The grounds and pool area are well maintained and we enjoyed the pool several times and used the grills for dinner. If we ever make our way to Maui again, we would definitely stay here again and I will be sure to refer our family and friends here as well. Thank you John and Darla for sharing your wonderful property.

Didn’t want to leave!

This condo is amazing. The hosts have thought of everything. Enough usb ports for all, fully stocked kitchen, beach stuff. You name it. The decor is modern and comfy. Darla was quick to respond to any questions. The beach out front is swimmable but rocky so beach shoes advised. It gets very windy especially in the afternoon, though the unit is tucked away from direct wind so it works. The pool is lovely too. Overall we were completely happy.

Awesome stay!!

This was our second stay at this property. It’s a great location away from the busy area, the property is as described and the condo has everything that you need for your stay. We plan to return.

Pleasant stay

John snd Darla’s condo is amazing!!

We spent 5+ weeks in John and Darla’s condo. We arrived to a spotless condo and we were treated to an amazing view. We appreciate that it’s located away from the busy central Kihei, but close to everything. The beach is a short walk across the lawn, take your water shoes as coral washes up. We watched whales from our table on the balcony, where we ate all of our meals. The condo is equipped with everything that you need for your stay and the owners are great to work with. Be sure and check out this terrific property!!

Whale watching while enjoying breakfast on the deck

I have vacationed in a Hawai’i about 8 times in my life and this condo is hands down my favorite rental so far. The remodel and decor are all very tastefully done. It was whale migration season while I was there and I was able to watch plenty of whales in the distance while sitting out on the deck for breakfast, or catching some afternoon sun on the lounge chair. The condo is only 25 min drive from OGG airport and about 5 min to grocery stores and restaurants. There’s also a small beach on the edge of the property that’s usually not very crowded, which I much preferred over the larger beaches. I thoroughly enjoyed the condo during my stay and would love to hopefully stay here again in the future.

We are so thrilled that you liked our condo, and it’s your favorite, after vacationing here on Maui many times. We love the view, especially during whale season, When they often put on quite a show. The little beach at the condo is nice to enjoy some rest and relaxation , taking in the beauty all around. The condos location is nice that you don’t have to get in the Kihei traffic to get to stores and restaurants, and is also very accessible to other parts of the island. Spectacular ocean view!

We stayed for nine nights and had a fantastic time. The 6th floor balcony view of the ocean was fantastic for watching whales, sea turtles and sunsets. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable and the condo was well stocked with beach supplies. The pool and BBQ area were all well maintained. Darla and John were very responsive and we didn’t have any issues. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend to anyone! The only slight downfall we can think of is that the main Kihei Rd that takes you to local shops and restaurants doesn’t have a consistent sidewalk, so you’re walking along the side of the busy road at times. Not a deal breaker just a consideration if you’re hoping to walk into town.

We are so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay at our condo! The pedestrian paths and sidewalks in Maui have slot to be desired. The nice sidewalks start and stop without any reason. Part of that walk is fine with sidewalks, and then the closer you get to the stores, it goes away. I look forward to the day that they actually complete what they started. Excellent condo for a family vacation

Beautiful, tasteful, restful renovation on this unit. Top floor views of the sunsets were amazing. Well appointed kitchen for cooking in. All the beach gear you could want. The king sized bed was super comfortable. The second queen size bed was as well. The rest of the property has lovely landscaping and the pool and jacuzzi area area is kept immaculate. Can’t say enough good things about our communications with Darla. Will definitely be staying here again.

A Kihei Gem!

Having never visited Maui, the search for the perfect property was challenging. We landed on Kihei for its’ central location and couldn’t have been more pleased. It was local to so many spots - a short drive to Lahaina and West Maui one day, a drive to the Upcountry the next and a short drive to Wailea and the southern beaches (my favorite) another day. And we were close to so many wonderful local restaurants. Once we landed on the location, finding a nice property that was affordable and beautiful was another challenge. Admittedly, I wanted a nice, modern condo with free parking but was willing to splurge for oceanfront views for the spectacular sunsets. We figured if you are willing to fly the distance you really need to immerse yourself. On each of these levels, Darla and John’s condo did not disappoint!! The condo was just fully renovated - top to bottom - with all new furniture, bedding, linens, etc so it was a gem! And the views! The balcony extends the length of the living room and front bedroom and is stunning. Lastly - while we didn’t use the pool it looks well maintained and attractive from the balcony. There is a small kiddie pool, full size pool and hot tub. The full condo property itself, comprised of two buildings, is being refurbished so you will encounter the lower entrance way and inner courtyard outside of the elevator under construction. That said, we didn’t encounter any workers or noise so it was never an issue for us! I expect it will be beautiful once it is complete. What looks to be complete is an entirely new lawn to the shoreline, making for a beautiful view from the balcony. I would rent this place again in a heartbeat. Darla was so very kind and responsive - gave me great dining recommendations when requested. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. The only potential issue, but we never encountered it directly us was that we arrived after the front office closed and always seemed to be off on an adventure before they opened so we were never able to register our car for parking. (We only stayed during a weekend so it was likely less of an issue, but I would check with the owners.) This is a beautiful property and you won’t regret renting it!!

We are so happy to have you guys as our very first guest since the renovation is complete! We are glad you liked the condo, the view, and the location. That is exactly what drew us to this unit. It is a great place to unwind, watch the ocean, the sunset, the pool, and even the public tennis courts next door. The front desk hours have changed and they open a bit later, but dont worry, if you are out and having fun- just stop by the front desk whenever you can connect. We are so glad you had a good first trip to Maui, and gave our unit a thumbs up- from all of your searchings for just the right place. We hope you can come back again soon! Mahalo! John & Darla

We live in Kihei, and have 3 grown children, and blessed to have two wonderful grandchildren on island too. We love Maui, and were so happy to be able to own thistwo bedroom, oceanfront unit.

We love the big lawn area fronting the Kauhale Makai. The beach is quiet, and great for relaxing and enjoying the views of the West Maui Mountains, Maalaea, and South Kihei coast. We were always wanting a unit towards the front of the complex, closest to the ocean. The views are magnificent

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Our condo is situated on the opposite side of the normal trade winds, so you enjoy calmer winds from the comfort of the lanai. The unit is closest to the ocean, so away from the road noise of busy South Kihei Rd. The views from our unit, boasts some of the best in the complex. Looking over the pools, the Shuffleboard, down to the tennis courts, the vast blue ocean, and over to Molokini. You can also see majestical Haleakala mountain towering behind us. It is a true piece of paradise, we are so blessed to have.
