Already planning next year’s visit—that’s wonderful to hear! Thank you for your 10 out of 10 review and for recommending Cabin #4 to others. We’re especially pleased that everything was as listed. Being able to book with confidence and arrive to find exactly what you expected is an important part of a relaxing getaway. We love giving couples a comfortable place to enjoy the Shenandoah Valley together. Cabin #4’s cozy setting, along with Hawksbill Retreat’s mountain scenery, walking trails, gazebos, and stocked fishing pond, makes it easy to spend an unhurried day right here on our 45-acre property. Next year’s trip could also bring a few new discoveries: an underground adventure at Luray Caverns, a horseback ride at Jordan Hollow Stables, or an afternoon at nearby Wisteria Farm & Vineyard. For more time outdoors, explore the Shenandoah River or plan a day around the trails and scenic overlooks of Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive. Your recommendation means a great deal to us, and we’d be delighted to welcome you back to Cabin #4. We hope your next visit gives you even more reasons to make this a yearly tradition! Warmly, Randy and Misty

Thank you for sharing that you loved Cabin #4, enjoyed the location and views, and plan to return. We’re pleased your stay was such a positive experience. For future guests, we would like to clarify the two features mentioned. Cabin #4 is advertised with a queen-size bed, which is exactly what we provide. We understand that some guests prefer a king, but the bed size is disclosed so travelers can choose accommodations that match their preferences. The shower is a custom, two-person tile shower designed to make thoughtful use of the space within this small, one-bedroom cabin. While you would have preferred an even larger shower, its design balances shower space with the cabin’s overall layout and comfort. We take pride in accurately representing our accommodations and making the most of each cabin’s character and setting. Your wish for larger features is understandable, and we appreciate that you distinguished those personal preferences from the quality of your stay by noting that nothing was bad and that you loved the experience. We look forward to welcoming you back. If a king-size bed is a priority for your next visit, we would be happy to help you compare options before booking so you can choose the cabin that best suits you.

Happy 50th birthday to your husband! We’re honored you chose Cabin #4 for such a special celebration, and your 10 out of 10 review is a joy to receive. Knowing the peaceful setting and beautiful views helped make his birthday memorable means so much to us. A milestone like this deserves time to relax and enjoy each other’s company. We’re delighted you found that here at Hawksbill Retreat, where the mountain scenery, walking trails, and stocked fishing pond across our 45-acre property offer plenty of reasons to take your time outdoors. For a future celebration—or a weekend away just because—there are lovely experiences nearby to add to your stay. Enjoy wine tasting at Wisteria Farm & Vineyard, explore the Valley on horseback at Jordan Hollow Stables, or discover Luray Caverns. Shenandoah National Park’s scenic overlooks and hiking trails offer another wonderful way to spend a day together before returning to the comfort of your cabin. Thank you for making us part of his birthday memories. We’d love to welcome you both back! Warmly, Randy and Misty
