A charming apartment in a vibrant neighborhood
Our stay in Enrico's apartment was so memorable and way too short! The neighborhood had shops within walking distance for all your needs. The patio balcony sealed the deal for us and we enjoyed drinking wine and talking every night after our busy days exploring the beautiful city. Thank you Enrico!
Stephanie and Andrew I wish you a good trip in Italy. You are always welcome.
ROME Stay Amazing
I am writing to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at Enrico’s home. It was just as pictured and very clean. The balcony faces other balconies but it was peaceful to sit out and just enjoy being outside and having a glass of wine. The shower was hot even when two were taking a shower in each bathroom. The building was secure. It is an easy 10 minute walk to the subway and the bus is right down the road. The flat building sits right off a main road. You go out and down to the main street and go to the right and you walk and find all the neighborhood haunts. Great pizza, gelato, shopping and everyone was very friendly. We found a great little bar/pub back behind the flat about 4 blocks over. Enrico brought over some more laundry pods for us. All I had to do was ask and he was there. Enrico met us upon arrival and had a map ready for us to use. He explained the subway/train/taxi use. Told us the areas to go and said if we needed anything to just call him. The flat had everything we needed. Enrico came over our last morning to say goodbye. He helped with our luggage and made sure we were on our way. Enrico, you are a great host-thank you for everything. Our trip to Rome was perfect and we made some life time memories. The history of your city is absolutely amazing. There were areas that took our breath away. Literally. We took the high speed to Venice one day and another train to Pisa on another day. Thanks to Enrico for all the ideas and help. If you are looking for a good place to stay, you found it. You will have the normal car noise going by at only peak times but the flat was quiet. We noticed many areas are ‘tagged’ with art, Many areas & buildings are that way in places. When coming home at 10:30pm we used the Subway and encountered no issues. You are only 4 stops to the Colosseum and 6 stops at City Center via subway. Thanks again Enrico, it was our pleasure to meet you and stay in your home.
Ciao and God Bless! Sincerely,

Linda and all friends, thank you for you accurate review.
A Roman Delight
This is a delightful apartment, owned by a charming host. Enrico was most helpful, and the apartment (2 BR, 2 baths and a BALCONY!) had all the amenities. At first, I was apprehensive because it is about 25 minutes on public transportation from the center of Rome. Then we came to appreciate this removal from the chaos of "tourist central." I would definitely stay here again.
Maria you are right. The secret of a stay in Rome is to live Rome as an ordinary citizen. Tranquility, beauty and a little slow buses
Enrico provided us with a warm welcome straight from the train station. He is punctual, informative, easy to chat with & most accomodating. The apartment is tasteful in the decor, very clean, maintained and had everything & more of what you needed - even a bottle of wine left from Enrico. A lovely gesture indeed.
We felt secure, safe & at home in this lovely apartment. We have no negatives or dislikes to say in regards to our stay.
Thank You Sincerely Enrico
Russell, Donna & Eve
Dear friends, reading your words is as pleasant as having met you. I hope you will keep a good memory of Rome and Italy. Ciao Enrico
A great apartment in a wonderful city
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rome in Enrico's apartment. It was well appointed and very clean. Enrico was exceptionally helpful. On our final morning the booked taxi was late but Enrico contact the firm for us and made sure we would be picked up in time for our flight. He even offered to take us to the airport if the all else failed! The local area was excellent for restaurants and we were treated in a friendly and helpful way by local people. We would advise using the Metro from Basilica San Paulo a twenty minute walk but a better way of getting about. Rome is an amazing City. We hope to return and we will try to book the apartment again. Thoroughly recommended.
Mervyn you are always a special guest. I 've very appreciated yours suggestion to the other guests (moving and your preferred restaurant). Thanks a lot , Enrico.
PETRAPAPAE ... a comfortable place to call home.
It is with happiness that I submit this review. Rome was our first stop on our 3 week trip to Italy. We stayed at PETRAPAPAE apartment for 6 nights from Sept. 9 - 15. The apartment is wonderful; quiet, clean, spacious, safe and equipped with all the necessities. Parking was very convenient, too, right in front. It is conveniently located near public transportation (because you really don’t want to drive into the center of Rome), grocery stores, gelato stores, bakeries and trattorias. Air conditioning and heat are guest controlled. Having a washing machine is a plus. Everything outlined in the description is as stated and pictured. I would definitely recommend Patrapapae Vacation Home to anyone. Although we were only 2 adults, there is definitely room for a family of 4. We were very comfortable here.
Having shared my review of the apartment I must also share my thoughts about the host, Enrico. Enrico’s hospitality was unsurpassed. Enrico was waiting for us outside the apartment which was great since we came by car and not sure of the exact location on the street. Knowing it was my husband’s birthday he had graciously had a little surprise waiting for him. Enrico provided maps and directions for places of interest and restaurant recommendations as well. He also provided his contact information should we need anything during our stay. Enrico is someone I would be happy to consider a friend.
If you’re looking for a comfortable place to stay, with a charming host, this is definitely the place. I would definitely stay here again. 👍👍
Barbara you are so polite and really full of joy of life. Grazie ancora for your warm words. Enrico
the flat Petrapapae offers you a comfortable staying and a convenient, usefull starting point to visit Rome and its historic, the places of faith, tradition and innovation.
Petrapapae is quiet and delight in building, in the most residential area of Marconi district. The shopping street is near (just a building corner). Only 10 minutes from the city center (Trastevere, Testaccio) easy to reach by bus. From Tiber you have a magnificent sight of the Basilica of San Paolo (5 minutes by walking distant)
