About The Owner

Welcome to Northern Idaho! The Eagle's Nest was formally owned by my parents and was their retirement home for over ten years. You will find a meditation bench on the Kootenai Rim in the backyard of the Eagle’s Nest and this is where they sat together and decide that this was indeed the best location to build their retirement home. Come and enjoy peace and beauty nestled atop the rim of the Kootenai River.

The Owner purchased this house in 2006

Wonderful stay once again!

  • 5 of 5

This was our third year enjoying The Eagle's Nest. Annie's kitchen is SO, incredibly well-equipped. I was looking for a basting brush, thought how silly to look for "something like that"...WELL, there is was in a drawer. THAT is how well-equipped the kitchen has been. We were disappointed there was no rain (we are from So. California...😞) but the clouds didn't disappoint! The weather was perfect, the views incredible and peacefulness surrounded us. Dennis was superb once again. Annie, you have a little bit of heaven at The Eagle's Nest. WE WILL BE BACK!

Quiet, beautiful, reasonably priced!

Stayed for an entire week in April this year. Very comfortable accommodations with a beautiful view. Excellent value for the price. Dennis was a pleasure to deal with - he always went above and beyond!

Amazing Home in a Beautiful Area!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I just returned home from our 20th Anniversary trip. We stayed at the Eagles Nest and will definitely be back. It wasn't just the great, scenic location that we loved, but we also have a lot of respect for Annie and the way she maintains her property. She is very honest and trusting (no hidden fees, big cleaning bills, etc.) and keeps the home very tastefully furnished and clean. While Bonners Ferry may be a little remote for some folks, it was exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommend staying here and dealing with an honorable and honest person like Annie. Many thanks! We will be back!

The VRBO description doesn't do this rental justice!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here last year and because we fell in love with the spot, we hesitated to give it the reviews it deserves. We didn't want it to be "discovered". All of the reviews are true! It's immaculate, beautiful views, lots of wildlife, Dennis is "the best" and the owner was fantastic as far as answering any question we had. We would spent hours sitting on the deck looking out to the river or watching the wildlife that was there EVERY day! We picked huckleberries and currant berries. My man made jam from both and we LOVED it! It was his first attempt at making jams. We had a difficult time figuring out the DVD player but, actually, it wasn't really needed. We just can't say enough about Eagle's Nest. We will be there in two weeks for a three-week stay again. We hope to continue visiting every year. Just don't "let it out" how fantastic this rental is!

Felt like home

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay at the Eagle's Nest. This house and grounds are beautiful. This home is fully equipped and very clean. Plenty of space to spread out and plenty of storage for our things. Use of the garage was a plus. The area deer and turkey will visit almost daily. We spent as much time on the spacious deck as we did in the house. The view never gets old. In the evening, we watched the deer cross the river (swim) from the island to their bedding area. If you enjoy hummingbirds...omg...there are Rufous and Calliope in addition to Ruby Throated. They were very entertaining. The neighborhood is very quiet but still close enough to town.

Anne made the booking process a breeze and Dennis was a delight with the house instructions and stories of the area. If you're staying in the Bonners Ferry area this is the place to stay. The price is right! Thank you Anne for allowing us to share this one of a kind vacation rental.
