Very good house to stay. Owners very kind. We stayed 3 days to visit around. The weather was not so good but the house very comfortable and charming. We visited Domaine de George Sand, musee d Aubusson and others villages around... The sky was very cloudy but people very sympathatic.
We enjoyed the authenticity of the house and we were fond of the lovely garden with the little pool full of froggs ; the amazing flowers, the sheep next door... a little painting.
The region is verry quiet with little villages , so you have to love nature and traquility if you deceide to come overhere.
A wonderfull region for (e-) bikers , but a lot of climbs!
For us it was the perfect place to stay a week before we went to the south.
Steven and Maureen, thanks fot the unforgetable experience.
We have stayed many times in the Haute Vienne region & wanted to try somewhere different. The area we chose was very sleepy- rarely anything to do, little advertised locally. No information or tourism guides around. Looking for farmers markets or plat du jours were no where nearby which meant long car journeys to bigger destinations to get something interesting to experience. The cottage was simple & clean - pity the wc facilities are on the ground floor- during the night was a challenge to not wake your partner if you needed the wc! If you stay ensure you bring essential foods - but be aware there is no oven only stove & microwave. An air fryer would be ideal for such a small cottage.

Dear Lisa,
We are sorry that you had some concerns regarding Stargazer.
The cottage is advertised as quiet and peaceful with the toilet on the ground floor.
Also there are markets nearby within 15 km 3 times a week.
There is also a box with many tourist guides in the cottage, you had only to ask and we would have been totally happy to give you help.
The microwave is also an oven.Again you had only to ask.
Regards,
Maureen and Steven

Aardige gastheer, goede communicatie. Fijn verblijf.Toereikende voorzieningen.

Rien n'a manqué.

Thank you Nadia for your kind comments. It was a pleasure to meet you and you are the perfect guest.
From the moment my sister and I stepped through the door we knew we would be happy here! Maureen had the log burning stove up and running and the cottage felt warm and inviting. After running through a few practicalities with us and offering us homemade coffee and walnut cake we unpacked and settled down to English T.V and an evening meal we had prepared in the fully equipped kitchen. There was a hairdryer in one of the bedrooms, electric blankets, radiators and electric fans if needed. There were books and magazines, a DVD player and a good selection of DVD's. The beds were very comfortable, the bedrooms were a good size and we slept like logs!! I would definitely recommend Stargazer Cottage and hope to return very soon!
