History Meets Downtown Luxury with King Bedroom Suites by Lucky Savannah

Built in 1770, the gorgeous General Lachlan McIntosh House is considered to be the oldest brick residence in the state of Georgia. In the year of 1783, the first constitutional session of Georgia Legislature was held in this very home and shortly after visited by George Washington himself in 1791. After undergoing an expansive renovation, this luxurious estate offers a one-of-a-kind Savannah experience. This 3-story brick stuccoed home is situated on East Oglethorpe Avenue. Offering an exquisite five bedrooms, each fitted with their own en-suite bathroom, you'll never want to leave!

You'll enjoy lounging in the main living area that boasts with natural light, and overlooks History Enriched Oglethorpe Avenue. The architectural focal point from the interior is the winding staircase, where murals of Lachlan McIntosh and George Washington have been displayed though decorative only. Your party may have a hard time choosing which suite is theirs. George Washington's room has been deemed favorite, but which will you choose? Each bedroom upstairs is fitted with a plush King bed, en-suite bathroom with spacious walk-in showers, and ability to control the rooms temperature to desire. On the third floor, once know as the smoking deck, the patio overlooks some of Savannah's oldest structures. While not attached to the main level, no detail has been spared in the garden level apartment with full kitchen, original fireplace dating back to 1764, Queen bed, and en-suite bathroom.

The location was also great, we could walk to a lot of the things we wanted to do. It was a little noisy but not too bad. Plenty of room for all of us. We had 2 problems with air conditioning but Lucky Savannah sent someone right out and fixed it the same day. The technician was very nice and polite. Overall it was a really nice place for us to stay.

Family wedding weekend

In town for a family wedding. Wanted to stay someplace central and historic this house totally fit the bill. It was so beautiful. Only problem was that it was a holiday weekend and there was so much noise outside all night long that we didn’t get much sleep between the sirens and the car racing and the loud music and the buses. It was tough.

Wonderful house!

Picked this location for our yearly girls trip and it was perfect in every way. The location is convenient (somewhat loud but we knew that going in and it wasn’t an issue for us), and we were able to walk everywhere for our entire trip. The house was exceptionally clean and it had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. What sold us on the property is every bedroom has its own bathroom and thermostat! We will definitely stay at this house again!

This is the nicest place we have ever stayed at thru VBRO!!

The home was beautiful. Each bedroom was large and well appointed. The Basement apartment was perfect for a small private space for another couple. The host was awesome. They checked in often to make sure all was going well and if we needed anything. They communicated well with check in and check out. This house was everything you could hope for when finding a vacation getaway home. WE WILL BACK!

Great location for walking but loud for sleeping

Beautiful historic property in a great location for walking both to Forsyth Park and the River district. But the reviews that say it’s loud should not be ignored! Single pane historic windows mean every noise outside sounds like it’s in the room with you. Sirens 2-3x/night. Trucks, booming stereo systems, busses and trolleys at all times of the night as well as the street light that shines inside made sleep pretty difficult the first night. I would look for a similar house in a quieter part of town for my next trip.

We flew our family in for our daughter's wedding and this was the perfect family home base for us. We could walk to our events at Husk and Collins Quarter and we were a short Uber ride to the venue but probably could have walked there too. There was more parking than we ever would ever need. The history was so fun to share. Our guests couldn't stop commenting on how much they loved their bathrooms! We hope to have the occasion to rent this home in the future. Would highly recommend this team and the Lucky crew we met during our stay.

Amazing Property with Perfect Location!

We felt privileged to be able to stay in a place with so much history (see the listing). The entire home was beautiful. We loved having a dedicated icemaker in the kitchen. The bedrooms are generously sized and beautifully decorated with high-end finishes. Each of the bathrooms were also gorgeous and unique to each space. One of our guests had a foot boot due to an injury so it worked out perfect to have the elevator available. The downstairs room and kitchen was also a wonderful space. We were also really impressed with our dealings with Lucky Savannah. The property is central to the top sites in the area. There is some street noise and you will hear a fire truck every so often but just bring your earplugs for sleeping. Highly recommend!

Well maintained. we had plenty of room for all seven of us. I guess my only complaint would be from the road noise. I had a white noise machine in my bedroom so I was not bothered but some of the other people in my trip definitely complained of how much noise there was. Both from traffic, firetrucks from across the street and just people milling about all night long.

The futures is very uncomfortable, we COULDN'T sit in it.THERE IS NO DRAPERY ON ANY OF WINDOWS!The house is on the main street and is next to the firestation! NONE OF US GOT ANY SLEEP!! THE TOUR GROUP is on the DOORSTEP very day up until around 9:30pm and shouting loud ly! It's feels like they're in the room with us! When we're ready to leave lady told us to leave the key inside the house which is against their policy!After 3 phone calls,we decided to drop off the key. When we did,lady in office has no idea who we're!! We told her what happened,she told us NO ONE HAS ANY PROBLEM WITH THE HOUSE AND EVERYONE LOVE IT! SHE DID NOT HAS ANY ISSUES WITH IT!!

The “queen” bed in the lower level apartment was NOT 😵‍💫. It would’ve been especially helpful to have the appliance manuals handy for the oven & dishwasher since they uncommon brands. Lastly, there was an issue with retrieving the “single set of keys” and then making sure all 5 couples had access when needed😳..not possible!

Great Bedroom Suites

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We needed a large house with room enough for 8 women for a 50th birthday celebration. This room met our sleeping arrangement needs. Each room is large with a king bed and it's own en suite bathroom. The basement has its own apartment with a queen bed. The apartment comes with the main house. Although it slept all of us, there wasn't enough room to hang out in the living room--an apartment sized couch and a couple chairs that weren't comfortable, one that was. There is a dining table and chairs but three of the chairs were broken and the rest were fine for dinner but not relaxing. The house is in an excellent location, right in the middle of the historic area. If you rent this house, you need to be able to handle emergency vehicles blasting sirens ALL night through the weekend. The house is old, so it seems as if those sirens are IN your bedroom!!!
