We enjoyed our stay. Great location. Close to Riviera beach that took us to peanut island. Close to downtown to see firework on 4th of july. Great neighborhood. It has an oasis in backyard to relax and chill in summer day. We definitely will stay here again when we go to west palm beach.
Excellent place to stay! It was clean and well maintained. Place looks like the pictures. Perfect little place for my wife and I to stay for a weekend concert. Safe and quiet neighborhood. Downtown is super close and not far drives to the local beaches.
From beginning to end great host and great place to stay.

This property has a great location for everything in Palm Beach - beaches, shopping, dining, etc. The casita was the perfect size for my son and me, and it was very clean and well-stocked. It truly is like an oasis, with a beautiful pool and lovely grounds. I highly recommend it.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Upon entering there was a strong musty odor, but we were tired and hungry so we went to dinner. There were three of us and my daughter was going to use the sofa bed. The sheets and blankets for the pull out smelled like dirty wet dog, so we had to wash all the bedding at 10pm. We only stayed two nights and the second night I noticed above the bed there is mold growing. The property looks really nice in pictures, but not well maintained. Pool furniture is rusty and old.

We were very surprised and disappointed to read this review, as none of these concerns were communicated to us at any point during the guest’s stay. Had we been notified of an odor, an issue with the bedding, or a concern about the area above the bed, we would have responded immediately and done everything possible to address it.
We take the cleanliness and maintenance of our home seriously, and we would never knowingly provide bedding that was not clean and properly prepared for our guests. The description of the bedding was particularly concerning to us, and we wish the guest had contacted us when it was discovered so that we could have replaced it immediately and investigated what may have happened.
Likewise, we were never informed of a possible mold issue during the stay. Had this been brought to our attention, we would have had the area inspected promptly rather than first learning about it through a public review after checkout.
We understand that guests may occasionally encounter an issue, and we welcome that feedback. What is unfortunate in this situation is that we were given no opportunity whatsoever to address any of these concerns while the guests were in the home. We are very responsive to our guests and would have gladly worked to resolve them immediately.
We enjoyed our stay, it was a clean, quiet spot. Not really walking distance to any restaurants or the beach, but a short drive.

There are a bunch of restaurants that are walking distance to the house. They are located on Old Northwood Village. They are approximately 8 streets over which is a 12 to 15 minute walk.
What a little treasure tucked away in a quaint neighborhood. Ferney was a great host. My husband, dog and I had a great stay.

This property is well cared for, had literally everything we needed (umbrella, coolers, for example), and was super convenient to downtown, shopping, and beaches. I would do it here again.

Why they chose this property
We have stayed in enough places to know what people like and want from their vacation experience. When we purchased Vieja Escuela we knew that it would be a success because its proximity to the airport, downtown, restaurants, beaches and other entertainment venues. We fell in love with the charm and character of this house and wanted to turn it into a vacation paradise. What gives this home its character are all the rustic features and decor to match it. We understand that many people want to experience the latest technology and shiny new floors and amenities, but there's something about the imperfections of old home that make it alluring.
What makes this property unique
The proximity to shops, entertainment and restaurants make this place a great choice for families. We have paid attention to detail when selecting the furniture so that it would compliment the Spanish-style home. The pool renovation has really brought the house to life so that our guests can enjoy Florida's beautiful weather.
