I feel that this review is inaccurate and Rob did not give us any opportunity to correct the issues raised during his stay (which he states). This property is highly rated both on VRBO and on other short-term rental sites (63 reviews with 4.78 stars). We strive on providing a good experience for our guests and do our best to meet any of their needs, concerns - we have over 700 reviews on various platforms with a 4.8 average, and this is our first 1 star review With that being said occasional things do get missed, which we would have happily came by to take care of had Robert let us know there were issues, IE the bathroom or the carpets (we do have the carpets deep cleaned seasonally), or I could have offered a refund for his cleaning fee if he didn't want disturbed. His check in date was after another stay during 4th of July weekend, so there may have been an accumulation of trash prior to our local garbage pick up, I could have had someone stop by to clean up the mess left by the critters and haul away the excess had he let me know. Unfortunately, our long time landscaper had a stroke and was incapacitated leaving us behind the 8-ball on landscaping, we have since gotten caught up on our backlog. The decks are not caked in bird poop and mildew, however they are outside and exposed to the elements, there may be the occasional bird droppings and could easily be wiped down by a member of my team had Robert let me know it was an issue. I inspected the unit after Rob's stay and found out that in the attic they left the in wall electric heater on as well as the window AC unit so that is likely the culprit for the AC not cooling off. The two systems were working against each other, again an issue that could have been resolved with simply sending me a message. As he mentioned, he did not raise any concerns during the stay so without communication I cannot work to resolve issues. I hope that this review is taken with a grain of salt and as an outlier versus the norm for this property. We feel we offer great value to our guests and strive to ensure their experience is great. This guest did not communicate their issues, and I was unable to find solutions due to the lack of communication. Thank you for considering my response and I hope to host you in the future!
