A perfect holiday

Our group was made up of two families with 4 teenagers, and Debbie’s home was just perfect for our group. There was plenty of room for everybody, and the adults loved having two master bedrooms. This home was designed with much thought and care. The huge verandah with the fresh ocean breeze was our favourite spot to hang out. We enjoyed walking to Bathsheba and exploring the local rum shacks and restaurants. A perfect home base to explore a special area of the island.

The Beach House

We had a great stay at The Beach House! The location was perfect, the house was clean and comfortable, and the beach was steps away. We went in the pool every day and most nights. Most other places on the island were no more than 30-40 minutes drive, and Debbie was extremely helpful and responsive to any questions we had. We all enjoyed ourselves and will be back.

A stunning location

The property was very light and spacious and the view to the beach and waves was fantastic. It is a very peaceful location, which suited us, and a good base to visit other parts of the island (car hire essential). Debbie was very responsive to my numerous (!) questions and very helpful. We would love to stay here again if we return to Barbados

Paradise

We had a wonderful 9 night stay in Paradise. We enjoyed beach walks and the pool. It was peaceful there and when we wanted some night fun we went to the West side. Highly recommend this place and would definitely go back. Debbie was very helpful and made us feel welcome.

Amazing

The owner is very sweet and helpful. She offered to purchase groceries for us before we arrived to make our stay more comfortable. She gave us many suggestions to make our stay more enjoyable
 And the home is BEAUTIFUL and huge! The views are AWESOME! We felt so spoiled we didn’t want to go home!

Wonderful Host

Although our group never had an opportunity to use the home, I wanted to write this review to share the extremely positive experience that we had with the owner during the onset of COVID-19 travel restrictions in the United States in 2020. We booked the property and paid in full months in advance and were all set to fly out from Florida when we were informed the evening before our departure of unanticipated travel restrictions relating to COVID-19 that were implemented by our employers and our children's schools that prevented us from leaving the country. We informed Debbie of this sudden and unexpected development and, given that the return policy did not require her to refund any of our rental payment, asked if she would consider applying the funds we paid to a future rental. Rather than keep our money, though, Debbie graciously cancelled the reservation and gave us a refund in full. She would not even accept my suggestion that she deduct the cost of the groceries she had already bought for us from the security deposit. If you see any notations about her cancelling a reservation in March 2020, that was done at our request and it should not be held against her reputation as a host in any way. I cannot tell you anything about the house, but I can tell you that the owner is a stand-up person and pleasure to deal with.

The best VRBO rental I've ever stayed in

This house exceeded all expectations. The location, the lay out, the amenities were amazing. I've rented numerous houses through VRBO, and you can check my reviews, but this is the best place I've ever stayed. The outside space, the ability to open all the doors and eat dinner hearing/looking at the ocean were our favorites. My wife and I with our two kids stayed here. We would absolutely come again. The owner's were so nice and helpful. I can't think of anything bad to say or anything that needs improvement. We hope to go back soon.

The Perfect Beach House For Us

The Beach House provided us with a wonderful family vacation for six adults and three children. The concept for the house was the vision of the owner, Debbie, and was architecturally designed, constructed, furnished and landscaped so it exactly met all our expectations. The five bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms are large and luxurious. The expansive great room has a fully equipped kitchen and large dining area with unimpeded views of the Atlantic and cooling trade wind breezes. The gem of the house is a wide, three-side, covered verandah that wraps around the great room, doubling the functional living space. A very short walk takes you down a gentle, lawned hill directly to the spectacular beach; this is the Atlantic side of Barbados, perfect for beach walking and tidal pool explorations; the famous surfing Soup Bowl is a ten minute drive away. Swimming in this part of the Atlantic is dangerous but the swimming pool is lovely for cooling dips and any number of Barbados' classic south and west coast beaches are within a thirty minute drive. Debbie was remarkably helpful throughout our stay in providing us with friendly, detailed information for eating out, shopping, local attractions and even surfing lessons. Incredible

We enjoyed our stay so much at this beach home. It is well stocked, clean, comfy and has so much room! The view is incredible and just a quick walk to the beach. Soup Bowls (a prime surf spot) is only 5 min away! Debra the housekeeper is a gem - she made our stay so easy to relax and enjoy. Debbie, the owner, was a wealth of information and an absolute pleasure and joy to communicate with. We had no complaints. Some things we learned: in the off season (we were there in March) there isn't a lot open for dinner on the east coast, so either eat early, eat on the west coast or prepare your own dinner! Also, be sure to leave your camo clothing at home as it is not allowed in Barbados. Definitely go to the Fish Fry in Oistins on Friday or Saturday night! Don't miss a catamaran cruise! We had a blast on the Stilletto and it was a super fair price. Oh! and the Boatyard is a great place on the west coast to go for the day and take the kids.

Fantastic stay at The Beach House

From our arrival to having sadly to leave and go home our stay was fabulous. On arrival we were greeted by Jill as unfortunately Debbie couldn’t be there and she told us all about the lovely villa which would be our home for the next 7days. The house is huge and could easily sleep 12,as there were only 6 of us there was loads of room.All the bedrooms and bathrooms were large and superb,some with lovely views of the beach and sea and all well equipped. Down stairs the living room and kitchen area were great but the jewel and joy of the property is the outdoor living area all under the huge wrap around verandah and deck area where we spent most of our time relaxing eating or drinking rum punches at the bar area, it was like being in paradise. The pool was also lovely and a great place to cool off. All the other facilities at the house were great (laundry area drying facilities masses of beach towels etc etc) and it was also nice to have Deborah come and clean and tidy our rooms each day. The beach opposite is lovel for walks and the beautiful sunrises but not safe for swimming, drive to the west coast for the lovely Caribbean beaches and blue sea. A car is essential as the villa is in a quiet area but no where is too far away to get to and there are a couple of restaurants in easy reach. As no one was coming in after our stay and we did not fly till late Jill allowed us to stay at the house until we left for the airport which was ver kind and gave us another day in paradise. All in all a fabulous holiday in a fabulous house and I would recommend it to any group of family or friends to stay at Thank you Debbie and Jill, from Martin and Corinne and family.

Excellent property

This is a beautifully equipped house on the Eastern side of Barbados at Cattlewash. The house is very well appointed and has a large amount of space to just chill. Excellent kitchen and a lovely veranda to eat out in. Bedrooms were large and well appointed. The owner was very friendly and informative about the island, as was the house keeper. The house is located in a quiet rural location, though nothing is more than 30 minutes from the property. A great place for relaxing visit....

Fantastic Location

We had an absolutely wonderful vacation in Barbados. The house in which we stayed exceeded all our expectations. We travelled as a family group, with three little ones, and the house was perfect for us. There was lots of room with each family unit having their own space., and a well-equipped kitchen in which we made meals. The location was quiet, the pool in the yard was an added bonus, and we enjoyed swimming in the sea which was but just across the road from the villa. . I would highly recommend this house as a place to stay while visiting Barbados. We are already planning our return !

My husband is Barbadian and I am Canadian. We have three children who all grew up here in Barbados. We live in a rural area of Barbados that is one of the higher elevations in the island. As a result it is cool and comfortable . We have nearly an acre of land with orchids and shade loving flowers and 3 family pet dogs.

We built our Beach House as a place where all the family, friends and children could be together. The house is in an area where our children spent their summers on the beach with their friends. It is a sophisticated, luxurious beach house but yet has not lost the comfortable, relaxed beach house feel that we all crave.

The house looks onto Cattlewash beach. One of the longest and most beautiful beaches in Barbados. The view is delightful and there are not many places in the world where one can be in the pool with a glass of wine while the sun goes down, overlooking such majestic and relaxing view of the Sea.
