Welcome to Font Remy - the former manor of the Petit Village, a peaceful hamlet located 2 km inside the pretty fishing village of Mortagne-sur-Gironde, just south of the seaside resort of Royan. The property has been tastefully transformed into four very spacious and fully equipped houses which can accommodate 10, 10, 6 and 6 people. It is located in a walled garden of one hectare overlooking the vineyards. There is a fenced and heated swimming pool of 15 x 8 m from May to September, a swing, a pétanque field, badminton and plenty of space for ball games and a play barn with table tennis, baby- football and billiards, lots of toys and games. Tennis, karting, horse riding, golf, sailing, boat rentals are all available locally. Mortagne has bakers, butchers, a small supermarket and bars and restaurants overlooking the boats in the harbor. Many sandy beaches are 20-30 minutes by car and many historic cities to visit in less than an hour - La Rochelle, Bordeaux, Saint-Émilion, Cognac, Saintes. For children, there is a fantastic zoo (La Palmyre), an excellent aquarium in La Rochelle, an indoor water park in Jonzac, rope parks, a bowling alley (Meschers), a steam train (Saujon), a miniature marina (Saint Savinien) and a hunting treasure (Pons). Ideal for families - or groups of families vacationing together.
