Good afternoon. Many thanks for your review and we are sorry that the house was not up to your standards with cleanliness. We always ask our guests to let us know immediately upon arrival if there are any issues at all with the house as we are conscious that people, like ourselves expect a holiday home to meet their standards. It is disappointing that you felt that you and your husband had to spend 45 minutes of your holiday cleaning the basics, as our housekeeper is only minutes away and this could have been rectified easily. It should not have happened in the first place but we are always happy to listen to our guests if they feel it is not to their standard. With regards the house looking tired and needing TLC, the house is a traditional Cornish home so again not sure what needs updating. We are disappointed that you felt this and would appreciate it if you could be more specific as we spend as much time as possible keeping the house updated with decorating and furnishings that are in need of replacing. We always accept constructive criticism and respond accordingly, but rather than vague criticism, specifics are what we can respond to.
