Definitely room for improvement

The proximity to the beach is perfect, and the condo is in a very convenient location, and you're definitely on top of the pool and hot tub, but that wasn't a problem for us. However, the floor was dirty as others have stated. There needs to be a rug coming in the door so that everything isn't tracked into the main living area. The bed was a brick, a simple mattress topper would help this. It's pretty noisy in the bedroom when there are people outside, which there's not much that can be done about that. You can't read the thermostat on the AC, which is pretty inconvenient. The laundry door is ridiculous, I mean come on.. the threatening note just before the instructions on how to rig the washing machine to work seemed a bit distasteful. I mean it's hard to complain, you're at a beautiful location on the beach, but all of the issues are so simple and could be remedied easily, I don't understand why they're not addressed. It's a small place, which is fine. If the few complaints that have been echoed several times in these reviews would be resolved it would be a 5 star stay every time.

Great location, could use TLC.

I have sent all of these notes (with some photos) to management, and they did offer to have housekeeping come if it was necessary, which I appreciated. We did arrive to dirty floors, my littles feet were black in just minutes. And we did have to sweep. It was apparent the space needed some cosmetic care, but nothing at all that impeded our stay. Everything was functional and fine. There are dishes and pans, etc for use, but ZERO spices. No salt or pepper. It’s silly, but I wish I had made a note of that before buying groceries, I’d just assumed there’d be some there. I would recommend just having your housekeeping staff do a thorough clean for the next guests. I know you may not get to physically check the units but I'd recommend some newer bedsheets. These are all on their last legs, and thin. I did notice some holes on the main bed sheets. And the quilts were very thin. The bunk beds are smaller than twin size. And I'd recommend putting that in the ad. While they are totally fine for my two littles, others may try to fit bigger people in them and it wouldn't work. Also, totally cosmetic but I'd maybe touch up the paint throughout. A lot of scrapes and marks show throughout the unit. I have been impressed with our views/location, the a/c and hot water works great, our appliances are all great, and it really was tidy other than those few issues. Thank you for listening to our experience! It really is totally fine for our small family of four, but I'd love to see those issues fixed for future use.

Loved being on the ground floor and so close to the beach. I wish the bedroom had a dresser or at least hangers to put away clothes. Had to live out of a suitcase all week. Also the refrigerator did not have an ice maker which was inconvenient. Glad there was a washer and dryer in the unit. Good value for the money.

Beautiful condo

Rental property was beautiful. It was on the 1st floor, which was very convenient with going back and fourth to the beach, loading/unloading our bags, etc. Having the pool right outside was no bother or any obstruction from the view of the ocean. The room was very clean, the fridge and freezer were very cold. The whole experience was wonderful and we would definitely choose this unit in the future.

Not what I was expecting

We rent VRBOs all up and down orange beach at least once a month and this one was not at all like anything I was expecting. We arrived shortly after our checkin time and the door was unlocked and dirty linens laying outside of our door. Our unit had just been cleaned and floors were so wet me and my daughter slipped walking in which at least it was freshly mopped. Normally VRBOs are well stocked and feel almost like a second home, this felt like a hotel it was very poorly stocked only four spoons and a few forks so little we had to wash or ask for plastic silverware to all have something to eat with every single time. Beds were not comfortable and only five towels for the duration of our stay and no bath mat at all. It was fine for two nights but definitely wouldn’t have been comfortable for my family for longer than that.

Nice place to stay

This is a nice place to stay. Perfect for a couple but could also be ok for family with 2 small children because of the bunk beds, which we used as storage for suitcases and all extra stuff we brought. We did have to buy hangers and dish cloths/towels as there were none in this unit. Gave 4 stars for cleanliness only because there was a pile of something broken in closet and toilet was plugged (we plunged it and it worked fine after that).

31st Anniversary Getaway

Great unit located just above the pool. The bed was comfy, the shower was great. Great location convenient to everything.. If you could have cranked up the heat outside just a little and slowed down the wind it would have been perfect. I would recommend this unit to anyone, it was great. The manager and the maintenance guy had to help me with the combination when I arrived and they were wonderful.

Loved the view - black feet

we loved the location and the view. It was our first time in the Orange Beach area and we fell in love. The Condo was very easy to find and at first glance very clean, however we noticed our feet were black on the bottom after being in the unit for only a few hours. The floors were disgustingly filthy and the trim in the bathroom where the floor meets the tub in the corners were also very dirty. There was sufficient cook ware and utensils, glasses, plates and etc. and the patio was delightful to have our meals on. We also suggest a small Dresser for clothing storage and hooks to hang towels for bath and coming in from the beach. You may also want to list that hangers are not available

Wonderful time!

Other than the code not working for the first 30 minutes once we first got to the condo, everything else was fantastic! Thankfully I was very adamant about calling back and speaking to someone to figure out why the code wouldn’t work! Everything else was very pleasant. A great vacation spot! Had everything we could possibly need. A great location and beautiful view of the beach!

Okay for the price

Upon arrival we noticed several things with this property. The floor was not clean (sand everywhere and everyone had "walmart" feet within minutes of getting out of the shower), there is a broken rail on the balcony (shown to on site maintenance person during our stay), the chandelier above the dining table is not far from falling out of the ceiling, and there is a rusty hole between the toilet and bathtub. The dishes were not clean. I had to wash most of the plates and silverware before we could enjoy a meal. The bed in the bedroom is sinking in in the middle. It was extremely difficult for 2 adults to get comfortable because of the hole. Washer and dryer seemed to work fine. Loved the location of the condo! Would be a very nice place with some work done to it.
