Our home is known as "Aqua Vistas" and for good reason: THE OCEAN VIEWS DON'T GET ANY BETTER THAN FROM THIS HOME - inside from every room and outside from the two covered wraparound decks that offer OVER 700 SQFT of outdoor living area!

Our QUIET corner location has only one adjacent neighboring home and only one unit directly across from us - and both are the owners' personal vacation homes. Our home is the MOST FAR AWAY from the highway traffic noise of the back row, as well as from the loud late night music from Hog Heaven to the north. We are only steps to the gorgeous pool, but we are PURPOSELY NOT ON IT so you can relax and enjoy daytime and evening quiet on our spacious decks.
AND WE CAN OPTIONALLY PROVIDE A BOAT SLIP FOR YOUR STAY IF DESIRED (but if you don't need it, you won't have to pay for it!)
ANGLER'S REEF is a boutique gated community of 52 homes inspired by Native Conch & British West Indies architecture with quaint streets & walking paths at Mile Marker 84.9 in Islamorada. With 3 bedrooms (including a King Master en suite, Queen guest bedroom and a 3rd bedroom with pyramid bunks (full down and twin up), 2 1/2 baths, plus a queen pullout sofa in the Living Room, Anglers Reef 140 accommodates up to 6 adults and 2 children..
Relax on one of our spacious decks, or in the lushly landscaped pool area with large heated and chilled pool, or on one of two stunning private beaches. Or take one of the provided kayaks or SUPs out for a paddle, visit a sandbar at low tide, or cast a line for great fishing! An optional boat slip is also available. We have direct ocean access via our deepwater channel, plus easy Gulf access via Snake Creek and Whale Harbor, both less than a mile away.
Fishing in the Keys is known worldwide and Islamorada fishing locations don't get much better than this :
- the famous Islamorada Flats are right out front for bonefish, permit and tarpon;
- Alligator Reef is just a few miles offshore for snorkeling or feeding schools of the fish that hang around in this protected area.
- The inshore patch reefs just 1-3 miles away offer a variety of snappers and tasty bottom fish;
- and within just a few more miles off shore is the Islamorada "Hump" where there are sailfish, mahi, kingfish, wahoo, tuna and more along the big reef in a few hundred feet of water.
Our 31' boat slip in the Anglers boat lagoon is also available for your boat or a rental boat. Maximum allowed boat length is 31 feet, max draft is 3.5 feet and max height above the waterline of 9 feet.
We are the original owners Anglers Ref140 since 2008 and have made many upgrades and additions nearly every year since for our - and YOUR - enjoyment! Our home is fully equipped with all the best - guests love the fully stocked kitchen and the propane BBQ grill on the deck - there's even an electric fireplace for cool winter evenings! And enjoying meals or cocktails while enjoying our ocean views -- from inside and out! The views don't stop when you go inside - the 7 pairs of French doors and numerous windows let you enjoy the panoramic ocean views from nearly every room. Watch sunrises from every bed! Tile showers, Viking and KitchenAid appliances, granite kitchen counters, 4 Flat Screen Smart TVs, & more! See link to our many GUEST REVIEWS! We are also the closest home to the south Beach for sunning and launching kayaks and SUPS, and just 150' from the heated and chilled pool (close enough for convenience, but far enough away to avoid the pool noise so you can enjoy a quiet afternoon or evening on your deck!)

Once you reserve your vacation with us, we will send you our "Fishing Portfolio" of our guests' catches, along with instructions so you or your kids to catch fish right in the Anglers boat lagoon!
Islamorada is synonymous with great fishing - gulf, backcountry or ocean. There are plenty of guides, charters, 'head boats' and boat rentals. You can also try for tarpon, permit, snook, spanish mackerel & more at nearby bridges or the many other nearby access points. Right at the Anglers property, we've caught mangrove snapper, redfish, ladyfish, jack crevalle, moonfish, grunts, mullet & barracuda depending on season - just bring a light rod or two (Basic fishing instructions at the house in our Welcome Book - detailed instructions will be emailed! Or send your questions and we'll try to answer!)
You'll see the flats guides poling for bonefish and permit just off the Anglers Reef beaches! If you don't bring your own boat or charter with a guide, you can launch a kayak or SUP (after signing the Usage Agreement with your lease) from the beach, and try your luck fishing right out front or check out the mangrove shorelines (be careful of the strong tides by the bridges!) for snook, snappers, tarpon and barracuda! If you are serious about fishing from a kayak, bring or buy an inexpensive 3lb collapsible anchor and line!
For Non-fishing People: One of the reasons we chose Anglers Reef is that both the development and the Islamorada area offer a lot to do for people who are NOT into fishing. Besides the gorgeous pool area in Anglers and great views from our decks and the private beaches, nearby is great shopping & restaurants (including 2 eateries you can walk to!), plus Founders Park, the Diving Museum, and of course Theater of the Sea just 1/2 mile away! And a new Publix is just a mile south for groceries!
Onsite: Enjoy our spacious wraparound decks with propane BBQ and the views of the turquoise waters; swim in the large pool (heated in winter and cooled in summer!), relax with a book or cocktail overlooking the Atlantic; take a quiet stroll thru the complex; or just catch some sun at the pool or on the private beaches.
Restaurants: Just a short walk north are Hog Heaven, a fun sports bar on the water with great happy hour and surprisingly good bar food. Next to it is Island Grill. Just north of the Snake Creek bridge is Puerto Vallarta, a very decent Mexican restaurant. A few miles south is upscale Pierre's on the Gulf and the more casual Morada Bay beach cafe and Islamorada Fishery (all next to Worldwide Sportsman for fishing tackle, clothing, and a large indoor aquarium); also a few more miles south you'll find the Green Turtle Inn, Lazy Days, and Square Grouper restaurants & many more eateries.
Attractions: Swim with dolphins at Theater of the Sea 1/2 mile south. Founders Park is just a mile north with concerts, pickleball, a bay bathing beach, and lots more. The Islamorada Chamber of Commerce visitors center is also near the entrance to Founders Park for local info as well as affordable postcards, posters, T-shirts and some booksabout the Keys.
Shopping: So much so close! From upscale gifts and clothing to Keys-ey schtick and souvenirs.
Grocery & Other Shopping: A new Publix is just a mile south. There are also small markets in and around Islamorada, including the Trading Post two miles south. There is also a Winn Dixie a few minutes north (around Mile Marker 91 in Tavernier, west side of the highway). Buy your beer and wine at the grocery stores - less expensive than liquor stores. CVS is 1 mile south and also has well-priced beer/wine, some basic foodstuffs, some hats and clothing, and Keysy schtick.
If you are going south, Marathon (about MM 50-ish) has a Publix, Winn Dixie, and a Home Depot.
From the north, at Florida City right where you get off onto Rt 1 is a BJ's Wholesale (membership required). There is also a Walmart there (but it seemed a little sketchy to us so we do not recommend it). Also check out Shell World in Key Largo for gifts and more!

We are beach people who love water views! We've owned both oceanfront and bayfront homes, but none can match the ocean views and colors of the Islamorada Flats right outside of our Anglers Reef home - from deep blues and greens to tans and aquamarines. Our guests always tell us we have the best location and views in the complex - we agree! We also own one of the limited number of boat slips in the Anglers lagoon, so we can offer our guests an optional boat slip if desired. There is direct access to the deep Atlantic via our Anglers Reef channel and also to the Gulf and Backcountry via nearby Snake Creek or Whale Harbor. We also love to kayak so having a beach for easy launching is great - and the community now provides kayaks and SUPs for guest use!

Having visited the Keys for a month in 2007, we searched north and south for the right area for a purchase. Islamorada quickly became the obvious choice for many reasons:
1. An easy ride from Miami or Ft Lauderdale airports.
2. Great upscale shopping and many great restaurants just minutes away - some even walkable!
3. Great fishing! With boating access to the ocean plus convenient access to the Gulf and Backcountry via Snake Creek.
We specifically chose Anglers Reef for:
1. The great design, beauty and security of this gated complex.
2. The deep private channel through the flats to the ocean.
3. Easy gulf/backcountry access via Snake Creek just a few hundred yards north..
4. The location of this specific home within Anglers -- on the southeast corner of the development, the closest home to the south beach, and one row back from the pool (close but quieter than overlooking the pool!).
5. The design of the home - the only one of its kind in Anglers - with amazing views from every room.
6. One of the few homes with large wraparound decks (over 700 sqft of deck space!) - most Anglers homes have only small balconies.
6. The convenience of having a 3rd private bedroom - most homes only have two.
These are some of the reasons we chose this area, this complex and this particular home. And some of the reasons we know you too will have a great vacation here!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?
Everyone raves about the views from inside and outside the home, and the specific location. They love to relax on our large decks with a cup of coffee watching the sunrise and the flats fisherman, or enjoying a dinner of fresh-caught fish or a cocktail (or two) in the evening.
We also have the 3rd bedroom (plus the pullout queen sleeper sofa in the living room) so we can sleep 6 comfortably in bedrooms or 8 total with the sleeper. There is even an electric fireplace in the living room for some unique ambiance on cool mornings or evenings in the winter. There is a fully equipped kitchen with quality appliances, a full-size washer and dryer, flatscreen TV's in all bedrooms and in the living room, and a quality BBQ grill on the deck with spare propane tank.
As a result, we have many repeat guests - so please book your week early!
