Oh it was so nice! Very clean. It was stocked well with supplies, plenty of room for everyone to spread out, very clean, and the extra spaces like movie room, game room, hot tub, and firepit added to the experience. We had one issue with a missing Keurig but the owners were quick to remedy the situation for us by bringing another one to us. We would definitely return.
We had a crew of 6 guys from Wisconsin there to do some tree work on a golf course. We all were very impressed with the entire property and really enjoyed the outdoor space relaxing after work. We definitely would stay here again if we ever get back to the area.
The trip house, as my six-year-old granddaughter, called it, was amazing. It was everything that the description said everything we needed for a short weekend stay was there. Instructions were very clear and very easy to follow. They were very welcoming and even invited us to go over and look at the barn venue which was absolutely beautiful.
A group of swimmers and parents stayed here for a swim meet in Canton. It was just what we needed. A house big enough that the parents could stay away from the kids! Ha! We loved participating in the scavenger hunt set up by the owners to explore the property. We enjoyed using the outdoor grill, hot tub, and fire pit. Would love to come back in the summer to explore when it is warmer! A wonderful house!
We have cousins parties every other year, usually in Ohio. This house was by far our favorite. The game room and media room gave us hours of fun. The scavenger hunt throughout the property made for a fun hour long hike. We got a chance to chat with the owner and he was great making sure we were happy. Everything in the house is beautiful and perfectly decorated. It was such an easy stay for us since the house already had supplies like shampoo or trash bags etc. we loved everything about this property and can’t recommend it enough.
This vacation rental truly has it all — if you’re looking for a peaceful, fun-filled escape surrounded by nature and packed with amenities, this is the place. The house itself is beautiful, spacious, and well-maintained, but the real magic is outside. The pool and hot tub were perfect for relaxing any time of day. The outdoor patio and kitchen made dining al fresco a breeze — we grilled almost every night and ate under the stars. There’s a private pond on the property that was great for fishing and relaxing. We used the kayaks and pedal boat every day — such a unique touch that made it feel like our own personal resort. The wildflower field nearby was absolutely stunning and full of butterflies, a perfect spot for a quiet walk or photo op. And the old barn added so much rustic charm — it felt like stepping into a country postcard. We also loved the hiking trails and both the indoor and outdoor scavenger hunts — such a fun detail for families or groups! It kept everyone entertained and exploring the property in new ways. This home offers a rare blend of adventure, relaxation, and natural beauty. Whether you want to kick back by the pool or spend the day exploring the land, it’s the perfect setting. The steam room is a great bonus to unwind after a long day of outdoor fun!
I rented this house for a weekend getaway with my wife. We were celebrating her birthday and I thought I would treat her to a weekend with no kids and a house of her dreams. Needless to say, she fell in love with this property. This house is VERY large and the bedrooms just keep going. The master suite is really something to behold. My wife said “you could fit a football team in that shower!” The kitchen is very nice. We cooked several meals and it was a real joy. We can’t wait to come back in the summer sometime when the pool is open. The property is beautiful. We live only a few miles away, and drive past this property at least three times per week, but the property is secluded enough that I have never k own it was there! Trust me, you will not be disappointed if you stay here!
The pictures don’t do this home justice! It truly is a beautiful home with TONS of space. It was very clean upon arrival. The home is also very well stocked. Anything you could possibly need to cook in the kitchen, and plenty of plates/bowls/cutlery, etc. An abundance of towels in the bathrooms, and a handful of laundry detergent, dish detergent, trash bags, etc to get you started. We didn’t explore a ton of the property as we were there in November and it was cold! But it’s very impressive!! The sunsets over the pond were absolutely beautiful! The games in the basement kept our kids of all ages busy for hours. Highly recommend and would love to stay here again!
My companies marketing department stayed here for two nights to be together and meet during the day and night. We wanted somewhere comfortable and this house was it! It was so nice for everyone to have their own space but then be together when we needed to for meetings. The hot tub was a plus for evenings and the outside space for hiking and just a nice afternoon walk was great.
The absolute only downfall to this great property was it had a fun fire pit area but it didn't provide any firewood so we couldn't partake in this at night.
Clean and comfortable. Lots of room. We used the pool, pond and hot tub every day, as well as the trails and extensive game room. The hosts went above and beyond to meet our needs. Tour of the Barn "event venue" and property was a highlight of our stay.
What a way to beat the heat! Comfortably cooled house, soaking in the hot tub, jumping in the pool
Lots of things to do. Our four days flew by.
Maintenance man was friendly, helpful, kind, & bent over backwards to help us find things or provide what we couldn't find. Thanks so much!
This house was perfect for me and my HS girlfriend to get together and spend a few days together. We enjoyed the pool, hot tube, property and all the space. Excited to doing it again.

We were a group of 10 women, and this house was wonderful and provided everything we needed. The house sits on a beautiful piece of property, and with the snow, the landscape was spectacular. This is a perfect vacation spot no matter what time of the year. We will be back.
We spent a week during the holidays with extended family at this property and it was so great! From scavenger hunts, to in home wine tastings and massages, to long walks on the property, there was something for all ages. We had 6 children under the age of 7 and they were always busy doing something and always entertained. This place is a must.
We have stayed in several vacation rental homes over the past 5 years and without a doubt, Audrey Fairchild is the most gracious host of all! What better way than to start your vacation then with a welcoming note from Audrey, along with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and perfectly matched wine for our steak dinner. What we enjoyed most was not just how spacious the home is inside. But also the fact that we didn’t have to leave the farm to enjoy nature. Not only are there several trails on the farm, but what a delightful way to spend the afternoon then on a family on a scavenger hunt. Because of the meticulously landscaped drive, even a stroll down the drive way was peaceful! The walk or drive to barn is worth the trip. Although we did not use the barn, we enjoyed reading about the history and got some great family photos while visiting. A delightful surprise was the wildflowers…yes another beautiful photo op! When it was time to check out, our grandsons did not want to leave. Thank you so much for you hospitality and a perfect retreat!
First of all, what you see in the pictures will be exactly what you will experience! We had 3 great days on this “1885 Farms” property and our family group of 16 had an absolute blast! Many memories were made from hanging out at the pool and hot tub to going down to the nearby pond for a paddle boat or kayak ride. Note: we also brought 2 stand up paddle boards and the pond was perfect for these as well! The outdoor kitchen was a popular spot as well with the top notch grill setup and the 55” TV allowed us to view all the college football games without missing a beat of the outdoor fun! The basement is complete with all the fun things for kids of all ages and the sauna and work out room even saw some action! A highlight was the scavenger hunt setup throughout the property- we all loved the time spent searching for the next clue but getting to view this beautiful property first hand! Audrey and Matt were A1 hosts…always quick with an answer to our questions through the entire process and the bottle of wine upon our arrival was a super nice touch! If you are looking for an awesome place in the country with all the amenities - look no further!
