You are high and dry in this well stocked and comfortable paradise. We have high speed cable modem access and Wi-Fi for your laptop and all your wireless devices should you need to check in with the office, check email or visit websites.
A short distance from your vacation home is the world famous Watauga River where you can fish for Brown, Brook or Rainbow Trout. The area is filled with other rivers and streams to fish from or hike along.
There are outfitters available for fishing, rafting, kayaking, canoeing, caving, hiking, and just about every other interesting sporting pursuit.
The cabin, with a wraparound deck, provides a wonderful wooded view and is within 15 minutes of Blowing Rock, a small “artsy” town filled with great restaurants and shopping. The city of Boone is also about a 15 minute drive, and will allow you to fill your grocery cart with fine foods and fill your cultural heart with good music and plays. For the family or people of other interests, there is hiking galore, skiing and snow-boarding in winter, golf, Family Billiards, Grandfather Mountain, historic general stores, antiquing, kayaking, horse back riding, gem mining for the kids, rock climbing, and world class spas.
After a day out, spend the evening soaking in the hot tub, listen to the sounds of nature on our deck, choose a book from our reading library, watch a movie from our DVD selection on the new flat screen TV... or just CHILL OUT.
The community has recently created 1) a dog park, 2) a site to park your car close by for trout fishing in the local river, and 3) lovely hiking trails on top of the mountain in the community.
Come visit us. You will be glad you did.

We had a delightful time at this beautiful cabin and really appreciated the comfort of the cabin and its great location close to everything that we wanted to do. The house had everything we needed for the week. Thank you to the owners for their nice upkeep of the property. It is clear that they have thought out the needs of their guests. We felt as though we were home. Thank you.
We were fortunate to spend five great nights at the cabin in June of 2016. It was a fantastic visit. The cabin itself has everything a guest will need - all the comforts of home. Just bring your clothes. Managers / owners were accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. The location is unbeatable. The property is located in a secure gated community with guards, and yet you feel like you are in a mountain wilderness. The surrounding area has endless hiking trails, attractions, golf, shopping and also good restaurants. What else can we say?? Oh yes, we'll be back next year !!
My family and I were looking for an escape from the South Florida lifestyle and heat. Paradise Cove provided us with the hidden treasure we were looking for!
It's proximity to Blowing Rock and Boone made for wonderful day trips and sightseeing. There were great eating spots all around and plenty of adventure close by.
The Cove's quaint accommodations were cozy, comfortable and contained all the conveniences of home. Happy hour was truly enhanced by the fabulous wrap around porch and the cool, shaded hillside it is perched upon. Very easy to lose yourself in the tranquility offered by this relaxing setting.
Paradise Cove is a wonderful value, exceeding our expectations, and we would not hesitate to come back.
We were looking for a nice, relaxing place for our vacation and got so much more! What a pleasant surprise to find such a beautiful home in a fantastic location. Unusual to say the least! A round home in the mountains and woods of North Carolina. Conveniently located to so many quaint towns and things to do. From the Outlet Mall to Tweetsie Railroad to the Farmer's Market in Blowing Rock - something for everyone. But the most surprising part was the home iteself. All the comforts of your own home but so much more. The bedrooms were well done, the bathrooms were small but fine, and the hot tub - wow! My husband, who is a retired Executive Chef, also enjoyed the fact that the kitchen was well stocked with all items he needed to make great dinners and even better - breakfast in bed!! Of course, there were also the things one cannot live without - cable and wi-fi!
I highly recommend this wonderful home for anyone wanting to have a "real" North Carolina experience.
This was our second time at this quaint, warm and comfortable cabin surrounded by glorious foliage. It's starting to feel like our "Home away from Home! We love that it feels as though you are a million miles from anywhere, yet it is close to so many activities.
Our kids thoroughly enjoyed hiking the property “on our own” ~ yet we could easily keep track of them from the awesome wraparound deck. Although we did embark on many adventures, our favorite times were spent on their deck just reading and enjoying the peacefulness. The kids on the other hand claim their favorite activity was the gem mining!
The adults ended each evening in the hot tub reflecting on our wonderful vacation and enjoying the background music, brought to us by Mother Nature. Thanks for sharing your little piece of paradise and we’ll be back!
I have stayed at The Tree House several times, and each time it has been a wonderful experience. I always brought my little dog Lily with me - an 11-pound shi-tzu, and she always enjoyed it too. This property truly IS a tree house, with trees all around and visible from both levels and a stream/small pond at the back of the house below the hot tub area. The feeling of this property is simple cozy comfort and privacy in a lovely wooded area - and it does not pretend to be anything else. The structure's octagonal shape maximizes views of the trees and, depending on the season, what is visible beyond the trees. You typically enter through the upper level, which comprises a large living/dining area, a very functional and cheerful kitchen, a main bath and a good-sized master bedroom with private bath. the kitchen is small but decorated in a fun way and opens to the dining area so you can easily chat with others while cooking. The living/dining area is very comfortable and a nice place to come home to after a day of hiking or sight-seeing. There is a deck outside that reminds me of a ship's bow, with a wonderful glider where you can sit in quiet comfort listening to nature. Below that on the lower level is a hot tub which is nice in all seasons. Inside the lower level is a laundry, a second door leading outside, a large bedroom with lots of windows and a full bath. If you have two couples or multiple people in the house, there is a nice sense of privacy between up and down, which is separated by a little winding stairway. If you read the description of this home, you will get exactly what is advertised and more, and you won't be disappointed. What I have noticed over the years is that every time I visit this house there is something a little different; some improvements are always being made and it is obvious the owners care about it and use it themselves. The area this property is situated in - Hound Ears - is beautiful and perfectly situated between Blowing Rock and Boone. If you are a hiker, you will absolutely love it and there are many places to go for all levels of hikers. I have also gone zip-lining, which is a lot of fun. And both Boone and Blowing Rock have plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and the usual amenities. But if you want to get away for a little while in quiet comfort, stock up the house and never leave Hound Ears, you can do that too. If I were going to that area again - and I will - I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Enjoy.
My wife and I had the pleasure of spending and idyllic 5 days in this quaint, relaxing, secluded home in the mountains. The house was set in a beautiful location surrounded by pines with a small stream flowing by next to us. The evenings were quiet and peaceful. The house was decorated tastefully with a private hot tub to add to the ambiance.
We will definitely be back.
