This is a charming 3 bedroom/2 bathroom carriage guest house located on a 4 acre estate nestled in the woods of Bryn Mawr, PA. Great for families and visiting students in local colleges or for business travelers. Newly renovated and fully equipped kitchen is stocked with essentials, crock pot, blender, posts/pans, utensils, microwave, toaster over, coffee maker, etc . There is a deck and grill for outdoor cooking and socializing. The den has 3 sofas to allow plenty of viewing room to enjoy the large screen TV or playing board games on the large coffee table. Free WiFi and games for adults and kids to play. There is a washer & drier. With 3 bedrooms there are 6 beds that easily sleeps 6-9 people sharing king/queen beds. Basic essentials are provided, linens, blankets, towels, shampoo, soap, hair drier, etc. The bedrooms and 1 bathroom are located on the second floor, there is a second full bathroom on the first floor. Very safe and private parking can accommodate large vehicles, trailers and motor homes located far off the street for absolute private parking. Can accommodate up to 4 cars. Near Radnor corporate offices, Universities/colleges, SAP, DO test center, King of Prussia, Newtown Square and only a 35 minute drive to downtown Philadelphia and 20 minutes to Philly airport. Very safe private off street parking for 4 vehicles. Available for long or short term rental.

Good but steep hill to entrance

The property served our interests well but there is a steep climb from parking to the front door that posed a challenge to two in our group. The climb is barely visible in the listing.

Quiet, comfortable, convenient

This property is beautifully maintained and contains all of the amenities we wanted. Three bedrooms accomodated our group comfortably, and the availability of two full bathrooms is a true luxury. It's exquisitely quiet on this property, yet convenient to so much in the western Philly suburbs. In short, we enjoyed a superb stay here, and we can fully recommend it.

Family Reunion

Great location with charming ambience. Kitchen & bathrooms are all well stocked. Served 5 senior adults well (although anyone with mobility issues would have difficulty). Will probably stay here again if I’m in the area.

Convenient and Cozy

We enjoyed being surrounded by a forest while still being convenient to everything. The house had absolutely everything you need. The building dates back centuries and was once part of the Radnor Fox Hunt Club; parts of it have the character and quirks of a very old home. We stayed during frigid temperatures but thanks to the wood-burning stove we kept warm. No dishwasher but there are plenty of dishes, silverware and glasses, so you didn't have to wash every time someone used a dish. The kitchen could be updated but we didn't spend a lot of time there and it had more than the basics, such as a blender, toaster oven, etc. Every bedroom has a large TV. The house is very soundproof. The property is not within walking distance of anything, so you'll want a car. We had our two dogs with us and they were happy to have a large space to roam. The host was extremely communicative and helpful. We would stay here again.

Just what we were hoping for

This house was perfect! Clean, warm, and well appointed(had all the necessities) plus fresh flowers throughout. While visiting family we didn't have to worry about a thing. The house was perfect.

Just as described

Sheila was terrific and efficient in communication. Check in was seamless, bedrooms very comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed for an easy stay. Close to Villanova and shopping. I would stay again.

Quiet, lovely carriage house

Pleasant, easy stay in a beautiful setting, close to Bryn Mawr center and Nova. Bonus is beautiful creekside trails in the area, and nice restaurants within short driving distance. We would stay here again for sure.

Family Vacation.

Quaint Cottage in Rural Setting w/ access to many locations. Pet friendly. Good exercise w/ steps. The owner thought of everything between clean towels, paper goods, plugs/outlets, clean towels. Washer&Dryer. Pool. We greatly enjoyed our stay!!

Excellent property and even more excellent hosts!!

This place is amazing. Not only is the property cute and cozy, but it’s conveniently located. My husband and I kept commenting we wish we could move the house to our land we loved it so much. The hosts were so helpful and accommodating. We certainly hope to be back!

I am a mother to 4 adult children, I enjoy the outdoors, tennis, golf and soccer. I am a property manager and work out of my home which is the main house on this property located on the same grounds as the carriage house.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

The carriage house is located an a 4 acre estate and was once part of the grounds to the original Radnor Hunt Club over 200 years old. The Hunt Club still exists but was moved to a larger area off of Route 252 in Berwyn. The beauty of the woods and charm of the main house and carriage house made this an easy decision to purchase. After living in the main house for 8 years we decided it was time to rent out the carriage house and let others enjoy the serenity and beauty of the area.

This property is located against a hill filled with trees and an acre of trees along the street in front of the house provides the serenity and privacy that one needs while on vacation or returning from work. With plenty of private parking one can enjoy a stroll along the long driveway or sit on the porch and enjoy the outdoors. We are also a short drive to a few parks and a dog park.
