We had a great long weekend here. Beautiful scenery, great view. House was so cute! Beds were super comfy. Kitchen was well equipped. Close to trails and the ocean.

Great house, great views

This is a very well appointed and comfortable place for a getaway, highly recommended. The host is helpful and responsive - when the power went out during a storm, she reached out immediately to reassure us that the community generator would kick in within a few minutes - and indeed it did. I look forward to returning.

We stayed here as a group of four. Upon arrival, a carbon monoxide detector was beeping, there was no working Wi-Fi, the bathroom did not have hand soap, and the outdoor grill wasn’t well maintained and not clean. We contacted the host, but responses were a bit slow and did not fully resolve the wifi issues. Because the upstairs living room relied on Wi-Fi for the TV, it became unusable. We moved two chairs downstairs to make the space workable for all four of us. Some issues were addressed later during our three-night stay, but not promptly. After checkout, we were surprised to see additional charges for moving the chairs even though it wasn’t included in checkout instructions.Overall, the stay was okay, the view is great and the place is clean, but wifi issues, slow responses and post-stay charges significantly affected the experience.

Hello Zahra, I am very sorry that your experience was not up to our usual standards. We had a huge storm during your stay. The wind was gusting and there was even a tornado warning. The WiFi, I explained kept going out because the Starlink satellite box kept blew over. I apologize for delayed responses, my internet was also out and I wasn’t receiving your messages in a timely manner. The carbon monoxide detector has been replaced, the barbecue has been thoroughly cleaned and hand soap has been refilled. I’m glad you found moving the chairs helpful. My problem occurred when the cleaner could not manage to carry two heavy chairs back up a spiral staircase by herself. I had to pay someone else to help before the next guests could check in. I will happily extend you a discount, if you come back when the weather is nice and you will give us another chance. Thank you again for being our guest at Sea Cove Inn

Gorgeous view of the ocean

Cozy house with lots of nice touches! Lots of great recommendations in the guest binder, a fully stocked kitchen, and DVDs galore. Only thing I would have changed was the beds -- they were pretty uncomfortable :/

Sweet Little Cabin!

I booked this property for a three-day work trip in Shelter Cove. The place is beautiful, very clean, with lots of amenities and a killer view from the upper deck. Communication with the property manager was excellent, as my travel plans changed after my original booking and I needed to adjust my number of nights. Alessandra was responsive and helpful. I intend to book this property again next year, thanks!

There was 30 stairs to the front door!!!!

The 30 stairs was a bit much at first!!! Getting all our stuff up there was a bit much but overall the house was great. The mattresses were a bit firm for me and my wife but overall the house is great!

Cozy Home, Warm and Welcoming

It was 11 years ago my husband and I rode his dirt bike from Usal Campground to Shelter Cove for fish n chips that we had great memories we wanted to come back. After a long month it was great to arrive and relax. We usually cook so the kitchen was a little disappointing because it had just the basics but the bathtub more than makes up for it. They keep the house well stocked and was extremly clean. The beds were comfortable. It was surprisingly how warm it was I got sunburnt hanging out on the deck. There is a view of the ocean from sitting on the deck and the chairs and lounges were comfortable to relax on. I really enjoyed the decor it made you feel welcomed.

Thank you for your glowing review. We apologize that the kitchen is quite basic right now. Humboldt County covid-19 guidelines require everything in the kitchen to be sanitized after each guest. So we have streamlined for now. Please come visit again when the guidelines have been lifted to indulge your culinary creativity.

Beach and trail Christmas

Pleasing and functional amenities within the house, furniture, TV, kitchen kit, etc. Was happy to find butter and coffee ( I'd brought K cups, but there's a grinder and standard pot). Felt secure during bad storms so close to the beach. Nestled in the redwoods, very quiet and relaxing, but a party could break out easily.

Comfortable property in quiet seaside town

I had a few lovely nights here to escape from the world and spend time in a very cozy home. The kitchen was surprisingly well-equipped, but I would definitely recommend bringing groceries in if you're planning on doing any elaborate cooking, as the stores in town are somewhat limited. The house itself was clean and very nice. We found that Shelter Cove was quite foggy, so combined with the fireplace it was a perfect excuse to stay inside!

Clean and comfy with an amazing view

We enjoyed amazing weather over Labor Day Weekend in Shelter Cove! This house was clean and comfy, decorated tastefully with a great view of the ocean. The house was a short drive down the hill to all the restaurants, stores and beach/tide pools. We enjoyed that the pans did not stick when we cooked meals and that the water stayed hot for a relaxing bath or shower. The beds were comfy, the loft had a great selection of entertainment, the little fire pit and patio furniture were a nice way to end a day of exploring. We very much enjoyed our stay and will be back!

We enjoyed the home very much! It’s on a very quiet street tucked away from all the other people living and staying in S. C., which isn’t very many. The house was small but efficient for 2 people. I would stay here again!

Sweet property

I really appreciated the toiletries provided, and the snacks! We forgot a few bags of food and the snack provided held us over. Nice property for sure! My only complaints are that there is only one fan in the house with no AC. Was a bit warm, and second and biggest issue is with the mattresses. Pretty sure they are just futon mattresses and woke up sore each day after struggling to fall asleep on the uncomfortable beds. But other than that, was perfect!
