About this property

Authentic cottage between Honfleur & Rouen, with SPA... and wellness option

Our 18th century thatched cottage combines the charm of the old with modern decoration.

Well located, quiet, in a small village on the edge of the Brotonne forest, and close to shops (2km).
Its central location makes it possible to cross Normandy in all directions fairly quickly. Equidistant from the beaches of Cabourg and Etretat. Close to other tourist attractions (Honfleur, Deauville, Rouen, Le Havre, Pont Audemer ..., adventure park, leisure centers, Abbeys ...)

You can benefit from my professional activity. I indeed offer, by appointment, wellness sessions at a preferential rate for the tenants of the gîte (Shiatsu, foot reflexology and wellness massage). You will only have to cross our two gardens to enjoy it ... You can schedule your appointment (s) before coming or on site.

You will have a fairly large enclosed garden with trees (1200 m2) allowing children to play safely outside and relax.
Your children can enjoy the gantry (swings and slide).
There are also two adult bikes at your disposal, one of which has a baby seat, two children's bikes (2 different sizes, with and without wheels), outdoor games (badminton, pétanque for children, rackets, ball).
Two deckchairs and two camp beds are at your disposal to rest or enjoy the sun or the shade.
A terrace with wooden table and chairs, parasol, barbecue.
Fruits to snack on depending on the season, and aromatic herbs to be picked for the kitchen.

Inside, the Chaumine is well equipped to receive a baby: cot, high chair, baby bath, 2 changing mattresses, activity mat, staircase safety, pot / booster to access the washbasin cabinet, reducer WC ...
There is also a "special child" room with a 90 cm bed: decoration, games, books (cupboards "Ali Baba's cave")
You can take advantage of an open fireplace to enhance the cool evenings, or to grill (with care) ...
The linen is included in the rental and your beds will be made before your arrival.
Cleaning is optional (50 €)
The heating is with propane gas, at your charge according to your consumption, m3 at the rate of the last delivery. We offer you 1m3 per day.
Electricity is included in the rental up to 8kWh / day. What exceeds remaining at your expense.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Wonderful stay in the peace and quiet

We had such a wonderful and peaceful stay here. Sylvie is a fantastic host who was very helpful and always on hand to offer advice. We loved feeding the chickens and the goats most of all.

Lovely house with childfriendly garden

Charming house with a well maintained garden. We enjoyed the amenities (room, toys, bicycles, garden, ...) that make this place ideal for a stay with children.

Great house, countryside

We had a really great stay at Sylvie's house who is a wonderful host. Some bad weather but that wasn't a problem because the house was so complete and nice. Also a wonderful garden to enjoy. Perfect for couples with kids!

Clean (extremely!) and comfortable property. Enjoyed use of the hot tub in the evenings. The location was good and the host was helpful. There were some issues with the VRBO listing showing different information to the host than to us, which I think was a VRBO problem, not hers. In either case we worked out the issues and everything was good.

Nice house in quietly rural surroundings

Peacefull and relaxing stay at the cottage. Sylvie and husband are very friendly and helpful people. Nice kitchen with everything you need. The cottage is very close to a small city with bakery and Carrefour Contact with all the basics. All in all a good stay for us and our 3 teenagers. We recommend this place.

Wir wurden freundlich empfsngen und hatten eine wunderschöne Woche in dem kleinen Häuschen verbracht. Der Garten war toll und alles war sehr wohnlich eingerichet. Die Sauberkeit war perfekt und es hat uns an überhaupt nichts gefehlt. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Super semaine, propriétaires très discrets. Une dame qui prend soin de ces vacanciers à toujours répondu présente une femme très très agréable, sa change de certaine location. Une propriété ultra propre un jardin super propre beau franchement à notre arrivés un plaisir des yeux 👀. Une chaumine très jolie très fonctionnelle. Pour les enfants tout ce qu'ils faut même pour bébé. Impeccable. Si vous souhaitez vous changez les idées en campagnes c'est le lieu idéal c'est beau propre c'est TOP. Super séjour

Nous avons adoré notre séjour. Très grand jardin avec une belle terrasse avec barbecue et balançoires (on peut surveiller les enfants lorsqu'on mange). La maison était très propre et fonctionnelle. Sylvie est disponible et veille à ce que que ses hôtes ne manquent de rien. Un petit coup de coeur pour la cheminée (relaxation assurée).
