A little bit about usâŠ.
We have been married since 2007 and live in the Encino community of Los Angeles with our daughter and our two dogs, Buster and Daisy.
Shawn was born and raised in Maryland and lived in England, Washington DC, and Tucson before settling down in California. Shakeh is Armenian and grew up in Iran before moving to the U.S. in her late teens with her family. We met in 2005 and instantly discovered our mutual love of travel, cultures, languages, food, and learning about people from different corners of the world.
Of all the beautiful places in the world ranging from mountain to oceans, small towns to the most luxurious European cities, the desert remains our favorite â the dry air, deep blue skies, starry nights, beautiful yet rugged vegetation, the wildlife â all of it. When we drive from Los Angeles to the desert, we always feel a calming sensation ⊠a reconnection of sorts and a respite from the daily priorities and stresses of modern life.
In addition to raising our daughter and having careers in finance and philanthropy, weâre pursuing our dream of building and operating a boutique hospitality organization. Our mission is to provide best-in-class hospitality to guests as we share the places we love so much. While doing so, we are adamant about being good and respectful neighbors to those around us.
We began in La Quinta â with The Bottlebrush and The Sunberry â and now also operate Peppertree Lane Ranch in nearby Temecula Valley Wine Country. Weâll also soon open our newest property in Yucca Valley, near Joshua Tree National Park.
We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you soon!

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende
The moment we first stepped inside, and after we saw the lush backyard, the beautiful pool, the indoor/outdoor living spaces, the beautiful neighborhood with nice sidewalks, we knew it was a reflection of the house we always wanted in the desert. The Sunberry holds a very special place in our hearts because it was our very first purchase in the area. We're so excited to be finally able to share this beautiful place with our guests.
