Charming family apartment in excellent location

Sara is a lovely host and offers a very nice, airy, spacious and well appointed apartment in the heart of Como near the lake and every convenience. The apartment is on the Piazza Duomo, a lovely and lively plaza lined with cafes and boutiques. Walk to groceries, ferry, local train and buses. Five stars except the entry is through an unsightly courtyard shared by the back of a restaurant and all that goes with that. Some may find this minor, others troublesome. Once you get into apartment, nice retreat.

This apartment is very spacious and has a great location in the center of town and close the La Como

This apartment is extremely well located and very spacious. You are only two blocks from the lake and there are restaurants right out the door. You are within easy walking distance of everything you could want. Sara, the owner, is very attentive and was quick to respond to any of my questions - from where is the nearest grocery store to how do I work the clothes dryer. She was wonderful. While they did not bother us, there are two things to note about the apartment - there is no air conditioning and it can get warm in Como during July and August. It does cool off at night and if there is a breeze it helps; also there is a cafe/tavern right outside the apartment and it can be noisy during the day when they are dumping bottles in the recycle bin. It does quiet down at night. Since we were not in the apartment during the day, the heat and noise did not bother us. I would recommend this apartment because of its location, spaciousness, and Sara's attentiveness.

Second visit

Our second visit was somewhat better than our first due to some recent upgrades to the property. The walk through the portico and occasional glass bottle dumps from the restaurant below only add to the charm!

Great Location and Large Apartment

The apartment is in a great location in Piazza del Duomo and 3 minutes to the lake. There is no view, though, unfortunately because it is an interior unit. The apartment is large and quiet other than some occasional noise from the kitchen downstairs.

Great Location

The location is great and Dario has lots of information to help you during your visit. Lots of fun things to do right outside the door. The apartment is spacious. A couple of things to think about. It does not have air conditioning (which is usually not necessary) and parking is difficult.

Big, clean apartment with perfect location

We had a wonderful stay in Sara's apartment. She was sweet. Met us when we arrived and gave us necessary information. Great location for shopping and great dining. Sara had collected brochures from various things to do and see in Como and had already send me a list of restaurants and places to go swimming. Our kids slept in the living room and mentioned that there was some noise in the morning from the backyard where the restaurant placed below threw their bottles, but besides from that everything was good.

Great location, great service

This is a beautiful, cozy, well-equipped apartment in a great location in Como. The apartment is literally steps away from the Duomo and convenient to the lake, transportation and restaurants. Sara is a great host and is very knowledgeable about the area. A couple of things to watch out for: the apartment is on top of a courtyard which is in the back of a restaurant. So, there may be occasional noise (dumping bottles in recycle bins) and loud conversation from neighbors. It may get hot in the summer, but very manageable. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Charming apartment.

We spent a week at Sara's apartment in October. We found it very well equipped and comfortable, and the location just off the Piazza del Duomo is amazing. Como is an inviting town with a beautiful vista around every corner, and it was a very peaceful haven after the busier cities further south. Sara is a very welcoming and accommodating hostess, and she went out of her way to assist us when we had a minor problem. We highly recommend Sara's apartment.

Large, great location

The apartment was much larger than we expected. Perfect location in the heart of Como. Sara was a wonderful hostess. She provided us with maps, things to do, and restaurant recommendations. Navigating Como by car was tricky, but coming by train would be very easy

Bell'appartamento, nel cuore di Como

Abbiamo passato tre giorni in questo appartamento e ci siamo trovati molto bene. Si trova in pieno centro, a due passi dal lago, ristoranti e negozi vari, nonché nelle vicinanze di un parco giochi molto utile per chi viaggia con bambini, come noi. L'appartamento e' pulito, ampio e arredato con gusto, e possiede un notevole charme. La camera da letto e' molto ampia e silenziosa e il divano letto in sala e' tra i più comodi su cui abbiamo dormito (nonostante sia un po' corto per chi e' piu' alto di 180 centimetri). La cucina anche e' ampia e ben fornita. La proprietaria, Sara, e' stata molto cortese e disponibile, fornendoci anche ottimi consigli su cosa visita e dove mangiare. L'unico aspetto negativo (che non ci ha pero' disturbati particolarmente) e' rappresentato dal fatto che la corte interna su cui si affaccia la sala e' utilizzata da un bar per gettare le bottiglie vuote e altri rifiuti, il che genera rumore almeno fino a mezzanotte e a partire dalle 6 del mattino. I condomini stanno cercando di risolvere il problema, ma come detto, non disturba più' di tanto e se si dorme in camera, non ce se ne accorge nemmeno. Consigliamo vivamente questo appartamento e ringraziamo ancora Sara per l'ottima ospitalità e per la facilita' con cui abbiamo comunicato durante la prenotazione e il soggiorno. *** We spent three days in this apartment and we enjoyed it very much. It is located in the very heart of Como, a stone's throw from the lake, restaurants and shops, and near a playground very useful for those traveling with children, like us. The apartment is clean, spacious and well furnished, and has considerable charm. The bedroom is very large and quiet and the sofa bed in the living room is among the most comfortable we have slept in (despite being a bit short for those taller than 180 cm). The kitchen is also large and well-furnished. The owner, Sara, was very courteous and helpful,providing useful advice on what to visit and where to eat. The only downside (which did not, however, particularly disturb us) is that the internal courtyard on which the living room overlooks is used by a bar to throw empty bottles and other waste, which generates noise at least until midnight and from 6 am. The residents are trying to solve the problem. As mentioned, it did not bother us, and if you sleep in the bedroom, you won't even notice it. We highly recommend this apartment and wish to thank again Sara for the excellent reception and communication all along.

Charming elegant and an oasis of peace in the heart of the city

The apartment is very comfortable well kept and in the center of everything...Sara is a great host very attentive and very informed about what is going on in the city and surroundings.
