IT'S ALL ABOUT THE VIEW, not to mention you can't beat the price!
This ocean front condo has beach access within 60 seconds of our door.
It sits approximately 20 feet above sea level and is located less than 15 feet from the waters edge. The view is nothing less than spectacular. An enlarged 1st floor terrace with a roof for shade allows you to enjoy ocean front dining or to just kick back and enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean. A newly installed shade sail on the spacious 2nd floor terrace provides a beautiful view while allowing for protection form the sun. Granite countertops in kitchen and an enlarged bedroom make this unit unique within the resort. Direct TV with CNN, Disney, Discovery, Nat Geo and many more. Lounge in the pool just outside your back door or walk down the steps to snorkel or dive at Playa Lagun. Two dive shops and two restaurant's are located next to our property with lots of other restaurants within a 10 minute drive. Christoffel National Park and Shete Boca are about 15 minutes away.
The Island of Curacao has many wonders to enjoy. Take in the most beautiful sunset you've ever seen, snorkel before breakfast, dive right from our beach, teach your children to swim or eat at one of the two restaurants located at Playa Lagun. All of this are at your fingertips from Lagoon Ocean Resort. The ocean is calm and the sea life is abundant. The climate is warm, yet our trade winds keep you comfortable. Curacao is located outside the hurricane belt next to Aruba in the Caribbean where it never rains for very long.
You are sure to run out of time before running out of things to see and do. We have a full time Resident Manager on site to attend to your needs and ensure a carefree stay. If you are arriving late, let us know and we can arrange to have a small food/drink package waiting for you.
Please take a few minutes to read our reviews. We have owned this unit for more than 12 years and believe our service is what helps make this island paradise your home away from home. But don't take our word for it, read what others have to say. If you have questions, please ask. We sold a unit in a nearby resort a few years ago and would be happy to share the reasons why we love this location the most.

About Scott McKechnie
Ruth & Scott bought this unit in 2006 and are personally involved with every aspect of managing this second home.

Why Scott McKechnie chose Curaçao
Why you should rent this property? We recently added a shade sail to the 2nd floor terrace and completed a minor renovation expanding our 1st floor terrace and adding a roof for shade. Its perfect for oceanfront dining or just kicking back and enjoying the ocean view. Since we don't use an expensive management company, we pass the savings on to you. Compare our bottom line price with any other ocean front unit in our resort and we'll be lower...we guarantee it!
What makes this Condo unique
View...View...View and proximity to beach with great diving and snorkeling. This unit has more upgrades than any other unit in the resort and rents for less than any other ocean front unit of its size. Two restaurants and dive shops are available at Playa Lagun.

Will definitely stay again if we go back to Curacao!
Can not say enough about our stay at this condo. The views were great and the beach is fabulous. Just loved how quiet it is on this side of the island. Went downtown twice so glad to be back here and not hear any traffic. Scott was easy to work with and answered all my questions. Check in was flawless, Ivy was great. The condo has everything you need for a quiet vacation. You will need a car.
Unfortunately, we arrived very late due to weather delays. We were all very tired and hungry, but we were greeted by a lovely lady named Ivy, who showed us in and we got settled. The next day, all the stresses of travelling were gone. You literally wake up to paradise.
Although we had some small issues, Scott was attentive and we depended on Ivy who resolved everything. The pictures really don't do this place justice and you must experience it for yourself.
The beach down below is smaller, but everyone is respectful of your space. The water is warm and the sea life is terrific. Always saw a couple of sea turtles swimming around. If you're into diving see Peter at Bahia next to the restaurant. His prices are reasonable and he is easy going.
Just a side note, when booking a rental car, book as soon as possible. I don't know if it was due to the Christmas/New Years rush, but when I checked just before leaving, nothing was available and when we were at the airport, people were being turned away. Luckily I had mine booked 2 months in advance.
Scott is a great host, and has provided this beautiful home to enjoy, so I highly recommend seeing it for yourself.
Thank you Scott.

Love this lagoon!
This was my second time staying at the Lagoon Ocean Resort. The condo accommodations are basic but everything you need for a laid back week in paradise. If you prefer getting some distance from the ultra-touristy ends of the island, you'll love Playa Lagun. Many locals frequent this beach and it is fun to watch kids in their morning swimming lessons and adults in a water aerobics class.
Once again, the highlight for me was what you don't see in the photos - and that is the underwater beauty explored through snorkeling. This time we even tried an "Intro Dive"! But so much is accessible right from shore in "our lagoon" that you'll have plenty to explore without diving. In fact, my friend had just recently learned to swim and snorkeling was brand new to her. We spent hours in the water 5 out of 7 days (rough waves clouded the water the other 2 days - remnants of a hurricane further north). We saw many kinds of fish - trumpet, trunk fish, puffer fish, parrot fish, flounder, angels and something we called a moth fish(?), etc. etc. - as well as sea turtles, moray eels, sea urchins, anemones, and so much more. Take your time and be patient and you will be rewarded. The coral wasn't quite as awesome as 5 years ago, but still way better than what we found in Hawaii earlier this year. Healthiest on cliff sides further away from the beach. (Please be sure to wear the type of sunscreen that does not damage coral if you come here!)
The only side trips we made were to Shete Boka and Willemstad, which are definite "must sees" when in Curacao. But it was so hot that we were happy to spend most of our time in Playa Lagun.
Other highlights: the incredible stars at night (you can clearly see the Milky Way!), watching the awesome frigate birds swoop and soar and dive to catch fish in the lagoon, iguanas and pretty yellow birds everywhere, and the Blue Voodoo smoothie drink at Bahia Restaurant.
Safe! Beautiful! Comforts of home!
Great location with close proximity to the beaches of Santa Cruz, Lagun, and Westpunt! Very easy rental with no hassle! Thanks Scott for sharing your place with us for our 30th! We enjoyed 10 days of fishing, golfing, snorkeling, and sight seeing! Ivy was great in aiding getting and returning the condo keys even though we arrived after 8pm and left before 5 am.
Thanks for your kind words. We hope you think of us if you or anyone you know ever plan to visit Curacao. Best regards, Scott
Great location on Western Side of Island
The condo was exactly as advertised. Very convenient to beach, bar, restaurant; and to other areas on western end of island.
