Great Location and Great Views

Wild Dunes is such a peaceful and beautiful place to stay and Mariners Walk is one of the best property locations in Wild Dunes. The ocean views from 8E are spectacular, and the two large porches make this the best type of unit in Mariners Walk.

Needs major updates and refresh

Filthy! We got in late from a long day of traveling. The check in at the gate was easy. We knew from photos that the condo was dated but it was disgustingly dirty! The carpets were filthy, the shower curtains were gross with unknown smudge, one of the toilets was loose and we were uncomfortable using, our sons couldn’t use the twin bed fan bc it was wobbly and made a horrible sound. Very costly mistake on our part. Do not rent!!

Mariners Walk 8E

We had a nice view from the deck to the pool and ocean. Unit was clean to include the linens and towels. The furniture was nice & the bedrooms were well decorated with the beds being very comfortable. The unit really needs to updated from the kitchen to the cracked bathroom tile floor and rusty vents. When we first walked in the unit smelled musty, there is a dehumidifier that helped. Lastly, the sliding glass door did not have a lock which was worrysome for a "girls" weekend.

The unit is old and extremely outdated. Carpet going up all 3 stories is filthy. Bathrooms sinks all stained. The location was excellent. I would not stay here again because of condition of unit. Many other options in this area

Great location - major overhaul needed.

The location of this condo is great and the community pool is awesome. However, this condo needs a complete overhaul for the money. This unit is dated and old - including the carpet, bed linens, etc. I had read this in other reviews online but by the time I booked our options were limited. The amount you pay for this condo for its condition is laughable. We stay in Wild Dunes every year and I’ll book another place early next time!

Great beach location

Problems with the unit were a new stove and unable to open the dish washer all the way since the door hit the stove door. When it rained all day on Monday we had several leaks in the living room. Called and they came and took pictures after putting out buckets to catch the water.

A get a-way from NC

We had a nice view from our deck of the ocean and sunrise. The unit was very clean as well as clean linens. Kitchen well stocked with all accessories provided. I suggest the kitchen drains( garbage disposal) be checked. A terrible smell coming up the drain was noticeable. Also the 2nd floor bathroom shower drain backed up to where I was standing in dirty water. Probably needs drano to clear it. Just a short walk to the beach was awesome. I would definitely recommend this 8E unit.

Beautiful setting and location

We enjoyed being so close to the beach and pool! The views were spectacular and we were glad to have our own bedrooms and bathrooms. The unit needs updates on carpet and bathrooms.

Great stay at IOP. Condo is a little dated, but it met our needs just fine.

Nice condo, just dated. Furniture is not comfortable for lounging, freezer’s ice maker wasn’t working, tv was not high def, but overall we had a good time. Plenty of room for everyone and a great view from our two patios. Stairs could use new coverings, old carpet looks dirty, nice wood stair treads would really make the stairway pop. Would stay again without hesitation.

Mariner’s Walk Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay at this unit. It was clean and comfortable. Kitchen appliances and washer & dryer worked. Carpet on steps could be replaced and bathrooms are dated but no issues. View was amazing! Pool could get crowded at times but then we’d head to the beach! A great spot for a family vacation. Very quiet at night.

Beach days

This property is great! It is a short 2 min walk to beach and pool right behind property. Property was clean- just needs some renovations to bathrooms- old cracking tile in tubs, old cabinets in bathrooms and kitchen. Just fyi, it is not on a ground floor, it starts on the 2nd floor, making hauling stuff to and from beach kind of difficult when you have multiple children and toys, umbrella, chairs, buggy etc to get down to the beach without an elevator. I knew going in it was going to be 3 stories, but just assumed it would start on the ground level. Just keep in mind when booking. If I wasn't hauling a ton of stuff, it would have been perfect for us.

Air Conditioner did not work

They refunded a small portion of the rental price, but i would rather have air conditioning. No human contact and would not let me check in early, and i bet no one was in there before me because they definitely would have noticed the a/c not working. Will stay away from Vacasa in the future.

Needs work

Check in was veery easy. Vacasa was constantly in touch with directions for check in, with any problems we should encounter. Vacasa was on top of everything. As for the condo this was extremely dated. The carpets were filthy the bathroom sinks were so old that they were stained. There was a slat missing on the front door so bugs could enter. Furniture was very old and marked up.

Great location & Beautiful View

Extremely good service from property management (emails, text) and super easy check-in. Property was very clean and the views from the decks were gorgeous. Only negative I can say is that carpet and cabinetry (kitchen & baths) were very outdated.

Good Location/Shabby condo

The location is great and condo is roomy. However, be prepared that it is a shabby condo. Carpet is awful and needs to be replaced. Some living room furniture is also worn and should be replaced. Parts of the condo seem to have been updated but it only makes the non updated areas glare. On a positive note the air conditioning works superbly which was wonderful. Management company is great. We a had an issue that they resolved swiftly and professionally.

Ridiculous property for the price. Should have ho e to the Caribbean.

This place was very grungy, appliances didn’t work, write-up overpromised and under-delivered, and overall it was overpriced. For the price we paid, we should have gone to Turks and Caicos. Shame on VRBO, Vacasa, and everyone else involved in the scam. You should be ashamed. We almost feel sorry for the owners -they probably have no idea how mismanaged this property is.
