Hi Nicole,
Thank you for the excellent feedback. I am glad you and your family had fun in the mountains and got to enjoy the snow. We hope to welcome you back again sometime soon!
This property is outstanding in every single way. Most importantly it is very clean. The location is great and access is good in that you park right next to the entry door. We loved the very quiet neighborhood. The owner is a great communicator and quick to respond to any questions we had. We will definitely stay in this same unit next time we are at Big Bear. Great for a single couple and also world work well for a family of four, or two couples.

Hi Heidi.
Thank you for the wonderful review. We really do appreciate it, and are so happy to hear when guests enjoy their stay at our chalet.
Please come visit again anytime. It was our pleasure to host you.
We really enjoyed this home. It was very clean and nicely decorated. We are an older couple and one of us has some minor mobility issues, there were no problems getting in or out of the house. The water stayed hot while showering. The larger appliances were older, however they were clean and worked well. The kitchen had all the necessary cooking equipment and dishware needed. There is a back patio with table, bbq, and fire pit. Our favorite place was the front porch, where we were able to spend time reading, writing, etc. The check in was smooth and the host was very responsive. Great location. We would stay here again.

Hi Pam,
Thank you for the warm review. We greatly appreciate it. And we are very happy that you guys enjoyed your stay at our cabin. Please come back and visit us again in the future.
This experience was without a doubt very rewarding for me and my family. The location was so amazing and quiet, the cabin itself made you feel at home to the point where it became bitter sweet having to leave. We would definitely return for another visit.
Thanks for making the experience possible for my family and I.
The place was very clean and comfortable.
There were plenty of warm blankets/comforters and the heating was adequate, but the beds were hard and uncomfortable.
Had all the necessary kitchen items.
Good location, close to both ski resorts, but not walkable.
Very quiet.

Welcome! I’m David, your host at Coyote Grove Chalet. I have loved visiting Big Bear since my first trip snowboarding in the early 2000s. I’m an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys snowboarding, hiking, lake days, and exploring the Village. I also dabble in photography—some of my favorite Big Bear shots are hanging in the chalet. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I enjoy this special place!

Why they chose this property
I’ve been snowboarding in Big Bear for almost 20 years and always dreamed of having a place here. After searching on and off for a while, I walked into this home and knew it was the one. Located on a quiet, flat street in Lower Moonridge—one of Big Bear’s best neighborhoods—it’s easy to access year-round and close to everything. The ski slope views from the back patio and the inviting outdoor spaces really sealed the deal. Inside, the open yet cozy layout felt like the perfect mountain getaway. It was truly love at first sight!
What makes this property unique
What makes my property unique is its cozy, wall-to-wall brick fireplace—a rare and charming centerpiece in the living room. I love the view of the wooden front deck from the living room window and the sight of the mountain slopes from the kitchen. But my favorite spot is the back patio, where you’ll find stunning slope views and a gas fire pit—perfect for relaxing with friends and family.
