Sunny "STUDIO 52" - Porto Baixa Apartment

"STUDIO 52" is a lovely and sunny, independent accommodation that shares the entrance hall with another unit. It is located on the 5th and top floor (served by a lift) of modernist building from 1956 at Rua da Fábrica 38, right in the heart of Porto's historic center.

The location is perfect for exploring the historic city on foot, as all the main services, tourist attractions, monuments, restaurants, cafes, and bars are just a few meters away.

For example, the main square "Praça da Liberdade" and the "Avenida dos Aliados" are only 150 meters away, the famous "Lello" bookstore and the "Torre dos Clérigos" are about 250 meters away, and the picturesque area of the "Douro" river and the famous "Dom Luís I" bridge are less than 900 meters away, which is a 10-15 minute walk.

* THE SPACE: *
STUDIO 52 can accommodate up to 4 people (using the sofa bed).

The unit is very sunny, thanks to 4 large windows facing south, situated on the 5th and top floor with elevator access. Recently completely renovated, it is tastefully furnished with refined details.

The kitchen is equipped with a modern induction hob, a combo fridge, a microwave oven with grill, a toaster, a electric kettle, and a Nespresso coffee machine.

The bathroom features a modern shower with large slabs of natural marble. The windows are made with Climalit double glass, 8+8 mm, for better thermal insulation and soundproofing.

The following amenities are included free of charge in the apartment: air conditioning system, full HD TV, high-speed fiber optic internet connection (up to 200Mb/sec), and Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels, soap, shampoo, shower gel, toilet paper, and a hairdryer.

* INTERACTION WITH GUESTS *
You will be welcomed by me or, in case I am not available, by a trusted person. It will be a pleasure to provide you with advice and tips on the best places to visit, restaurants, and activities in Porto!

Some essential items such as bottled mineral water, Nespresso coffee capsules, organic tea bags will be provided to you free of charge upon arrival, along with maps to help you explore Porto.

* HOW TO GET TO STUDIO 52 *
AIRPLANE: If you arrive by plane, please provide me with your flight number so that I can monitor if it will land on time.

METRO: If you choose the metro, there is a train to the city center every half hour, departing 2 floors below the airport arrivals. Please note that the journey takes about an hour. The stop is "Trindade", which is 850 meters away (+/- 12 minutes walk) from Rua da Fábrica, or "Aliados", but it requires a change of line and an additional stop. I do not recommend the bus as it takes even longer!

TRANSFER: If you prefer the fastest and most comfortable shuttle service, a friend of mine (Ricardo) will pick you up directly at the airport, and then, taking the highway, you will arrive at the STUDIO 52 in just 20-25 minutes. We charge €35 (per car, not per person), which already includes luggage transport. It is more convenient than a regular taxi. Additionally, if you book round trip service, a €5 discount will be applied. If you wish to use the transfer service, please let me know so that I can make the reservation.

TRAIN: If you arrive by train, the nearest station is the beautiful São Bento station, located just 350 meters from Rua da Fábrica.

CAR: If you arrive by car, I recommend parking in the guarded underground parking lot of "Praça Dom João I" (where the Teatro Municipal Rivoli is located). This is the Google Maps link:

This parking lot is the cheapest in the area and is only 350 meters away from Rua da Fábrica. The price is good: currently, €18 for 24 hours of parking. It is open 24 hours a day, and no reservation is necessary (nor possible).

* THE NEIGHBORHOOD *
The neighborhood offers a variety of services, including restaurants, cafes, bars, bakeries, grocery stores, supermarkets, shopping centers, banks, and libraries. There are beautiful viewpoints nearby, lush gardens, art galleries, museums, theaters, and trendy nightlife venues.

The apartment's location is perfect for exploring the historic center, taking a boat trip on the Douro River, visiting the Port Wine cellars, and savoring regional cuisine.
