Welcome to Brookwood Bungalow - in the historic Brookwood district of downtown Gastonia! Close to the highway, 20 minutes to the airport, 22 minutes to Uptown Clt or the BOA Stadium and a few minutes to downtown Gastonia! Enjoy the space and know that the Brookwood Bungalow hopes to exceed all your expectations.

Shiplap walls, butcher block countertops and lots of light make this cozy bungalow stylish, comfortable and fresh. Separate living room and dining room allow for ample space to spread out. We renovate with your comfort in mind and hope the Brookwood Bungalow is a haven during your travels here. Guests have access to the whole house. You will have a Key code to come and go as you please. Should you have any questions or concerns, I am readily available by Airbnb messenger and have a team of qualified professionals for any problems should one arise. The Brookwood Bungalow is located off highway 321 on a side street close to downtown Gastonia in the historic district of Brookwood. This makes traveling convenient for our guests! Older homes surround the area - some recently renovated and some well loved. Car transport is the normal mode of transportation. Gastonia is a short drive to the Charlotte airport and Ubers are close by as well. Recently renovated - enjoy the new mattresses, appliances, furniture and washer and dryer for your convenience!

You will have a Key code to come and go as you please. Should you have any questions or concerns, I am readily available by Airbnb messenger and have a team of qualified professionals for any problems should one arise.

Car transport is the normal mode of transportation. Gastonia is a short drive to the Charlotte airport and Ubers are close by as well.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Bungalow. The house was very clean and tidy, and all necessary things were there. We had five of us, and with two bathrooms and 3 bedrooms, we had plenty of space. The house was minutes from the wedding we attended; the location was perfect. Would not hesitate to recommend!

Wedding Celebration

Beautiful space

The space was lovely, very well thought out and cozy. The host was communicative and the space was clean. The only thing I didn’t love was that they took a 250 security deposit from my account that I didn’t see listed in the original listing, and that was charged through a site outside of the booking site.

Thank you for the feedback and glad you enjoyed your stay! We mention the security deposit hold in the rental agreement when you book through VRBO - sorry it came as a surprise! This is only a hold though and not a charge. We prefer this as instead of charging our guests damage insurance which is non-refundable and normally not necessary, our system simply places a hold to ensure should someone smoke in the property or cause intentional disrespect, we know the hold protects our property as funds are there. We don't want to charge anyone damage insurance when the majority of guests are respectful so this is our way of trying to save guests money but also protect our property. We wish we didn't even have to do this but unfortunately we have had guests intentionally disrespect our property so it is how we now operate. Just wanted to clarify though it is only a hold! Thank you again for trusting us with your stay and staying with us!

So Cozy!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Bungalow! The Christmas tree was such a nice holiday touch in the living room. The bedrooms were spacious and comfy, and there was great flow throughout the home. It was the perfect spot for our mother/daughter getaway to see the lights at Christmastown and explore all the small towns in the area. Would definitely recommend and book again. Thank you for such a warm inviting home to stay in.

Girls weekend

Property was as shown. We didnt sit outside because it was hot and humid, but also didnt look very inviting. We think a neighborhood dog is using the area as his personal potty spot as one girl stepped in pooh first thing. Otherwise the house is really perfect for a girls weekend with a large sofa to lounge about and chat over coffee. Super easy check un and out and great communication.

Cute home

Overall, the home was great! It was cute, clean and the listing was quite accurate. Only downfall was (and this is partially our fault), the home looked a little bigger in the listing than it was when we arrived. My husband is a 6'4", 280lb body builder. So the small bedrooms were tough. And apparently we overlooked the queen size bed listing. Like I said, our fault. The beds/pillows weren't the most comfortable, but hey! Everyone has a different opinion of comfort. Overall, the home was great. The location was nice and close to everything. The home was kept very clean, it was very cute & decorated nicely, and the neighborhood was nice & quiet. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you for your hospitality.

Graduation

We visited here for a week from Ontario Canada for our grandsons graduation from Combine Academy in Lincolnton. The house was perfect very clean and accommodating and spacious. Close to shopping and golf courses. We will definitely stay again if in the area in the future.
