This semi-detached stone and pantile barn conversion is located on the owner's farm in the scattered village of Staintondale. Set between Scarborough and Whitby, this cottage has been beautifully restored, decorated and furnished throughout, providing comfortable and cosy accommodation for up to four people. The cottage is also full of character, boasting exposed beams, a wood burning stove and stunning countryside views. The property also has the added attraction of being situated in within the National Park, making it an ideal home from home for anyone looking to enjoy the region's walking routes. This property only accepts well behaved one dog. Dogs must not be left unattended in the property.

Positioned midway between the fishing town of Whitby - with its famous Abbey - and the spa town of Scarborough with its theatres and promenade entertainment, this lovely little village provides visitors with the best of both worlds, ensuring there's something to suit all tastes and budgets. There are a network of footpaths and bridleways through the village and into the beautifully diverse countryside beyond.

Utter Peace and Tranquility

The owners were extremely helpful and friendly but not 'in your face'. The location was superb with a fantastic view over the valley. As to the property, it was delightful. The owners had taken great care to provide all we needed, kitchen and lounge were very clean and comfortable. Upstairs was a bit of an issue for me as I am 6'5" and the beams were rather low. BUT, if you asked me would I stay there again you would get an unequivocal YES! We tried several local hostelries for both beer and food. The Falcon gets it for the food, the Bryherstones for the beer!
