In a lovely quiet little village, can sit on the balcony and have breakfast, or sit in the conservatory and look out into the garden or see what the sheep are doing. Lovely features inside and quiet countryside location. We went out with the dog and came across a lovely woodland area

Excellent getaway

We booked for 2 nights and wish we had booked for longer. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed for a quiet self catering break. This included coffee, tea, sugar, foil, cling film and cleaning products including a new dishcloth. I really liked that there was milk, biscuits and sweets left for our arrival.One of my pet hates is small rough towels that are impossible to dry yourself, we were happy to find soft bath sheets which were especially appreciated after a long day of hiking. We couldn’t fault anything about the accommodation and would definitely return.

Perfect overnight stop

Great place for our overnight stay en route St Andrews! The property is on third floor and whilst it looks a bit small ( will admit we were a bit unsure) as soon as you open the door into the penthouse, it is welcoming, warm and cosy! It is bigger than we thought and had all we needed for our stay. We walked about the town and there was plenty of places to eat and 2 spars and a coop for essentials. We had a nice drink at Howard Arms (dog friendly) and then a curry take out.Kelly was responsive to questions and very helpful. Would defo stay again - thank you.

Vallum Lodge stay

Check in met by friendly owner. the property is as per advert, modest but nice accommodation and in a very beautiful spot in northumberland rural area. It is close to Hadrians wall and lots of roman attractions and beuatiful walks close by. Definately need own transport if staying here being rural. Was nice break only spoilt by the news of worsening pandemic. Thank you.
