Perfect in everyway

This property is stunning and probably the most beautiful property and view we've ever had on vacation. We spent most of our time at the patio/pool area, which was beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail. The home was very clean and bed sheets were of superior quality. Peter and Philip were responsive and attentive hosts. They made a restaurant reservation for us at a recommended spot, which did not disappoint. They also kindly offered to extend our check-out time because we had a night flight, which allowed us to spend even more time at the property. We hope to return!

Stunning in every way

We had an amazing week at Phil and Pete's villa. The property is done to a very high standard and they have thought of every small touch to ensure you have everything you need. The outside area is fantastic and where we spent the majority of our holiday. Having said that the flow my inside to outside meant that we always felt like we had one big open space rather than separate spaces. Phil and Pete were always on hand when we needed them and the local property manager was fantastic at helping us out when we needed it. The location of this villa is incredible, waking up every morning to that view was out of this world. Make sure you take the time to enjoy the view, I'm missing it already! Thanks to Pete and Phil for an amazing stay, we can't wait to come back :)

This is a beautiful villa in a wonderful location close to Lindos town. It is very well appointed with everything you could possibly need for a vacation stay. The villa is close to a good size supermarket, and you'll find all kinds of tavernas in teh local area to choose from for meals with great prices. Rhodes twon is about 45-minutes north and easy to get to if you'd like to see some history. And the town of Lindos is less that a 10-minute drive away where you can see the Lindos Acropolis. My wife and I had a wonderful week here and the owners were amazing and very accomodating. Highly recommended place to vacation.

VLK: The Height of Luxury

VLK is an absolutely beautiful property. Every aspect of the villa's design and décor is well thought out and aesthetically pleasing. The position of the property is idyllic; offering breath-taking views of Vlycha Bay with easy access to Lindos and local facilities. During our stay, Rhodes suffered from a heatwave such that temperatures consistently reached 48C and didn't cool down much through the nights. This meant that we really needed our villa to work well and it did. We all slept beautifully in the luxurious beds, the pool kept us beautifully cool during the days with gorgeous shady areas of the garden and the well appointed kitchen ensured that we were able to have plenty of cold drinks, ice etc throughout. The air-conditioning throughout the whole villa was so important and so welcome. We cannot recommend this villa highly enough. The owners and the local management team were helpful and accessible and the welcome hamper was amazing. The whole holiday felt like a luxury experience. Thank you to everyone involved in VLK for a truly delightful holiday.

Notre meilleure expérience de location ! Les propriétaires Philip et Peter sont au petit soin pour leurs locataires, même à distance, avec un relais très efficace sur place. La maison est magnifique, meublée avec un goût exquis et un sens des détails incroyable. La vue sur la mer repose l'âme. Rhodes n'est peut-être pas la plus belle île grecque, mais si vous y allez, c'est vraiment à VLK qu'il faut s'installer.

Chilled out luxury

We had a FANTASTIC time in your beautiful villa! This is the fourth year that the four of us have done a villa holiday. However, this year was different as we have never spent so much time at any villa. Yours was just so homely and comfortable that we didn't want to move too much! We arrived at the villa at around 23:30 so quite late but we were immediately struck by how different the villa was. Our previous villas have all been lovely but VLK was like stepping into someone's home. One thing we usually notice is the to be expected 'wear and tear' on a villa that is regularly rented out. However, we didn't notice this at all at VLK. It was spotless and everything was in immaculate condition. On waking up the following day, the sight of the pool, outdoor space and seaview was amazing! Your attention to detail in the garden has truly paid off as they really are gorgeous. We really enjoyed spending time sitting at the table outside. The ambience of the villa, garden and pool really lends itself to a chilled out evening- and we spent every night doing so. We had never barbecued at a villa before, but we did so at VLK a couple of days for lunch. We followed your advice and booked a day's sailing which was great fun. We stopped off at a beach on the way back for cocktails which was also an added bonus. The supermarket down the road was well stocked, but think we may have wiped them out of tomato juice for our Bloody Mary's! Zucchero was also great - too much baklava was eaten I think, and expanding waistlines are testament to this! Lindos was lovely and we really were spoilt for choice for restaurants. We went to Ambrosia on our last night, and it was a lovely surprise amongst the souvenir shops. We also enjoyed lunch by the beach in Lindos. We also enjoyed dinner at St Paul's Bay at Tambakio. Well worth the walk down and the lanterns lit on the shoreline were gorgeous. We drove over to Pifki one evening and stumbled across Kyma which was a wonderful find. Fabulous restaurant and wonderful food. We all really needed this break to recharge batteries, and I can honestly say I have never been so chilled out. Your villa made that happen for us. Rhodes is a lovely island and we barely scratched the surface mainly due to the fact that we were so comfortable at VLK and didn't want to leave! Thanks so much for all the little touches, beforehand and during the holiday. It made for such a great experience.

A touch of Hollywood

We’ve just returned from an unforgettable week at VLK. We don’t normally do such luxury but after this no holiday will be quite the same ever again. Previously we have stayed with the family in a great villa in Ibiza, which I thought was fabulous, but VLK takes it to another level... the stunning location, beautiful design, almost money-no-object furnishing and equipment level and its pristine condition made us feel we were living more in a Hollywood home (and a very tasteful one at that) than a rental. This place is very special. When we first arrived we were most struck by the opulent open plan interior, then the beautiful outside space, crystal clear pool and stunning uninterrupted panoramic view over Vlicha Bay. Once we got over the initial wow factor, we then came to appreciate the small touches... for instance a well stocked welcome pack, The White Company toiletry gift sets in the bathrooms and even a wide range of fragrances to use. Two of the three bedrooms, as well as of course being beautifully decorated and furnished, have balconies with the same incredible view over the bay. The location is surprisingly convenient with Vlicha Beach within a 10 minute walk and a good size supermarket and cafe bar 5 only minutes walk away. Bustling and picturesque Lindos is less than 10 minutes away by car but we preferred Lardos, which is the same distance away, a lovely more relaxed village with some wonderful bars and restaurants (especially Roula’s) filled mainly with locals and ex-pats. The owners, Pete and Phil, are gems to deal with (as is Katie who manages the place for them). The love and care they’ve lavished on the place even extends to the website. The concierge section gave us all the information we needed to know about the villa and island before we arrived. I normally do lots of research but for a change it was all done for me! Needless to say we did not want to leave and will never forget those special days on Rhodes at VLK.

Designer style overlooking the Aegean

One word to describe Villa Lindos Kalliopi – fabulous! You can tell the owners are interior designers. Everything here is stunning – the website barely does it justice – but it still somehow manages to feel very ‘Greek’ – clearly the owners are keen to support local business and local artists. We arrived just before midnight having left murky wet England to be greeted by a stunning pool and garden – both floodlit – and a very welcome bottle of procecco which we sipped outside on the terrace to celebrate our good fortune in finding this place. Next morning, the view of the blue Aegean sea took our breath away. It’s early April and we’re sunbathing! And swimming in the super pool - inviting first thing in the morning for a refreshing dip. We swam in the Aegean too - on St Paul's Bay just the other side of LIndos - lunch at the wonderful Tambakio with fresh fish and Italian salads followed by a spot of sunbathing on one of their new sunbeds amounted to a nigh on perfect holiday day. Rounded off with a meal at Arthontiko - a taste of the real Rhodes in a beautiful old Captain's House. We fell in love with the lamb cooked in vineleaves. Comfortable beds and top notch equipment in the kitchen are a given but it’s the attention to detail that is so impressive. White Company products, quality bedding and towels and a smashing welcome hamper and complimentary gift bag – this is a well-loved Villa that the owners want you to enjoy as much as they do. I particularly liked the garden – olive trees, lauriers and all those evocative Mediterranean plants abound. Haven’t tried the barbecue yet – but we will be tonight - set-up to perfection with a proper outdoor kitchen so no running inside for stuff you've forgotten. The villa is fabulously well situated – down a quiet road but just five minutes walk from a supermarket and a cafe serving the best home-made spinach pie and baklava on the island. We loved strolling there to buy food and stopping next door for a coffee and a croissant with the regulars. Liked being so close to Lindos too - a climb to the awesome Acropolis first thing in the morning was memorable. One of our best holidays ever!

Beautiful, elegant

We had a fantastic time in your beautiful villa. Everything was lovely. The furnishings are elegant yet wonderfully comfortable. As a family who love to cook we appreciated the high quality kitchen equipment and crockery. The decor was of the highest standard and everything was impeccably clean. The welcome hamper was very generous and very much appreciated. The gardens are very pretty and we spent long hours relaxing in the pool. It was the the perfect environment in which to relax and reconnect as a family. With all the children growing up and leading independent lives it is rare for us all to be together. To be honest we didn't do a great deal on the island except for a few visits to Lindos and a day in Old Rhodes as we found the heat quite oppressive, apart from Winn who does Ironman competitions and managed to run in the midday heat! But we were there to unwind and de-stress and your lovely oasis provided the perfect environment. Books were read, Scrabble and cards were played and suntans were nicely developed. Perfect! We met the pool man and the gardener who were both very friendly. I can't remember if they were mentioned in your recommendations but we had very enjoyable evenings, with good food and very friendly staff, at Olive Street and Kalypso. As I sit here typing I am looking at my garden being battered by heavy rain and winds, it doesn't seem possible that it is August but I am very pleased that I can close my eyes and remember the warmth of the Greek sun and the blissful environment of your luxurious home. You have designed a very special place at VLK and we are very happy to have experienced it. Thank you both for a memorable, wonderful holiday.

A Very Special Home

Back in a chilly UK with an autumnal feel in the air and our glorious sun filled 10 days at VLK have set us up to face the winter ahead. What a holiday we had and what a villa! The only other place I have stayed in to compare with this is a 5* holiday house near Gairloch in Scotland "Shore Croft" but the guaranteed sunshine is what we were after this time, and Rhodes didn't disappoint on that score. Phil and Pete have put such love and care into their house to make it a home for all to relish. I tried to find something vital missing but failed, even the knife sharpener was there (a bug bear of mine...kitchen knives are so often blunt in holiday houses.) There were so many touches to spoil us....we arrived late on our first day and there was a perfectly chilled bottle of Prosecco and lots of other goodies waiting for us. We sat outside until 2am drinking in the atmosphere (and Prosecco!) There was more than enough provided so that we had no need to hit the supermarket to find something for breakfast. More treats in the bathrooms and comfort everywhere. An abundance of coffee table books to suit all tastes, lovely to leaf through when a bit of shade was needed. Phil and Pete are so obviously part of the local community and have gathered around them very personable staff and friends all so welcoming and ready and willing to make a stay at VLK so much more than a regular holiday. We had two outings to restaurants that they had recommended and they were magical spots where we were well and truly spoiled. George the taxi man meant we could all enjoy the wine and more, what a delightful guy. I could go on and on but don't want to spoil all the surprises for others. You will not be disappointed! A big thank you to Phil and Pete for all your hard work and attention to detail, both with your villa and the whole booking arrangements which are so professionally done.

Simply stunning

My family of 6 wanted a special holiday as our children were starting the flee the nest. This was our first family holiday by air, and wanted it to be special. We were not disappointed. The villa and gardens were just great places to be in, and we could see, and feel the effort the guy's had put into it. The villa was beautifully prepared and presented, and the attention to detail (welcome card/gift bag) was such a personal touch. I personally spent some time inside the villa (due to the high external temperatures) and found myself looking at all the design features incorporated into every room. I loved the way the villa has been furnished and decorated with all the numerous artifacts making our stay so stimulating. I also notice the desire to resist fitting dull light fittings. For that I salute them. Garden- simply stunning! Every area was so well designed and executed, we loved spending time just looking at all the different plants, mosaic and seating areas. The view over Vlicha was fantastic and when evening came the garden/pool area came to life again. VLK was simply a beautiful and stimulating villa for our Rhodes family holiday, 5 stars. All their recommendations were spot on, from M&S rent a car, local shops, restaurants and beaches. Garden and maintenance team also first class, helpful and discrete. Little slice of Heaven

We have stayed at this villa twice in the last few years and of all the places we have been it is a piece of indulgence that we have never experienced anywhere else. The owners are wonderful and always contactable and nothing is ever too much trouble. The villa is just exquisite and in such a lovely area of Rhodes that you feel right at home. Regarding the Villa, the attention to details is amazing and it is not your normal villa at all, all the furniture and utensils and facilities are of the highest quality. When we arrived on both occasions, the villa was spotlessly clean and the garden and pool area outside were so beautifully maintained, the relaxation set in immediately. In the villa were some recommendations of local activities and also restaurants all of which were very good. If you are looking for somewhere to unwind in a beautiful surrounding with everything provided, this is the place to go.

Why they chose this property

For several years we dreamed of owning a holiday home abroad. After discovering Rhodes in 2004 this Greek island went to the top of our list. In mid 2007, on our third visit to the island, we stumbled across the construction of the villa in the gorgeous and peaceful bay at Vlicha. The location with stunning uninterrupted sea views were incredibly alluring - we knew we could work some extra "magic" with the layouts both inside and outside.
