Relax at this Matheson Bay retreat..

A comfortable beach house to escape all the rush
and bustle of city life.

Only 1 1/4 hour drive north of Auckland this bach has excellent facilities including a large North Facing deck opening from a modern kitchen. There are two queen beds, and four single beds available. The beach house is in close proximity to a wide range of activities including the popular Matakana Markets, Wine tasting at the many local vineyards, Goat Island Marine Reserve, Pakiri surf beach and many others.

Although the bach is only 100 metres from the Matheson Bay beach the views have been obscured by the pohutukawa trees - what a shame - not!
Special conditions:

Under the Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels);

The bach will have been clean and tidy when you arrived. It's a lovely old bach with lots of family history so we care for it lovingly ... but ... it will never be perfect.

We expect the basics of a clean up from you when you leave - we always vacuum and mop through do the bathrooms and take out the rubbish :-).

Two nights minimum stay.
Special Holidays and Long Weekends are at "high season " rates.
