Clean, tidy affordable accommodation for up to five people.

Quiet, private location down a driveway behind main house.

Self catering - includes microwave, cook top, portable oven, dishwasher and BBQ.

Lounge and dining room combined, separate bathroom with shower, separate toilet and laundry with washing machine.

A five-minute stroll takes you to the local shops, restaurants, cafes, Tairua golf course, Ocean Beach and the Tairua Harbour.

Use Tairua as your base to explore the scenic wonders of the Coromandel Peninsula.

Hot Water Beach, Cathedral Cove, Whitianga, Whangamata, Thames all within 45 minutes by car.

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave - leave it how your found it

Handy spot

Good location near the town and beaches. Unfortunately the weather wasn't very kind but we made the most of our short stay.The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. She kindly offered us another night free if we couldn't drive out because of flooding. At low tide the next day we could drive carefully through the flooded road and head home.Tairua is a friendly town with a variety of good eateries.

Tairua timeout

Great little old school bach all self contained. Very clean and comfortable had everything we needed. The place made us feel relaxed like home away from home. The main road location was perfect for us.

Cosy little bach

The bach is a small separate building behind the main house. It is small but tidy. Jan was very friendly and even left us some produce from the garden. Space is tight, but this was ok for just 2 of us.

Lovely Little Holiday Home.

We loved staying at the kiwi bach. The photos and information were accurate and it was everything we expected and needed for a great week's holiday. Our host even provided some lovely extras like a whole jar of coffee! So nice to have a washing machine available too. The only disappointing thing was once we had made our final payment there was no immediate response about the location of the property and this information was difficult to find out. Overall though, it was a great little property, well situated and we definitely enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely stay at this bach. The owner is very friendly, helpful and communicative, we're really grateful. They also thought of every possible need in the bach so the stay is very comfortable.

Quaint and awesome

Gorgeous wee treasure nestled away from the hub and bub but also very close to the township. It has everything you need for a relaxing or active holiday. Throughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Jan, for sharing your holiday crib/bach with us.

A comfortable, clean, warm, quiet, peaceful well stocked house with a superb central location to shops, beach, parks and estuary. Great communication with friendly, helpful owners. Just fyi it doesn’t have internet but we didn’t mind because it kept everyone off devices and out exploring. Highly recommend!!

Clean, tidy and comfy

Place was perfect for what we wanted. Really comfy beds and the place was really clean and tidy. Had a couple of issues getting the tv to actually turn on but not the end of the world. Would recommend this place.

A Great Stay

This was the second time we stayed. An old kiwi bach with all that is needed for a comfortable home away from home. We travelled, this & last time as a small multi generation family group. Will stay when in the area.

Great accommodation

This Kiwi Bach was a wonderful base for us (a group of 3 friends) to explore the Coromandel Peninsula. Very comfortable, clean and tidy with all required amenities. Hosts were lovely, as was their little dog Minty. Would highly recommend!
