About this property
C Wise Cottage - Glenorchy
Very Old and Rustic. If you are inspired by old, rustic things and being cosy this cottage is the one. The cottage is well over 100 yrs old but has had some TLC to keep it alive, it is fully fenced with plenty of room for all to zoom around. As with any old place there are quirks and oddities but lying in the big old bath looking outside is a must. The toilet is an oldie but a goody. It is outside about 15 meters away from the Cottage. For the timid, it doesn't have a flush button!! The cottage is fully self contained so all you need is your food, there is a wee general store, however the main grocery shops are 45kms away back in Queenstown!! Everything in the Glenorchy township is within walking distance, it is just a small place, quiet and surrounded by mountains but offers a lot of activities for all ages. We have most things here, Pubs, cafes, playgrounds, horses, tramping, jet boats, "huntin' and fishin", swimming pool or for the slightly mad "the lake", tennis courts and a nine hole golf course which just so happens to be right across the road as is the lovely "Boardwalk".
Please note# We are a 45 minute - 1 hour drive from Queenstown at the head of the lake.
Special conditions: Cost is $160 per night for two and $20 per person after that.
For smokers, there's plenty of undercover space outside!!
Extras: Cleaning (Required, NZ$30.00 per stay); Linen (included);
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

We loved our stay in C Wise cottage - so full of character and such a pleasant place to stay. CY was a great host, attending to our every need. If we ever return here, we'd definitely want to stay here again.
Serene, relaxing spot - perfect for unwinding with family, books and some board games. Loved the uniqueness of the property and quietness of Glenorchy compared to Queenstown
Was well needed this wkend, even though the weather wasnt the best, cosy, warm, peaceful place, love glenichy, my favy placeCant wait to stay again Best hostess tooLove
A unique and wonderful cosy spot for a getaway in a beautiful location. While a bit rustic on the outside the inside is beautifully set up with all that you need with comfort and thoughtfulness.
Lovely cottage to stay as a family. Great communication and very friendly host who made sure you had everything that you could need. Highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again.
Absolutely loved the accommodation.
It is a very unique place that offers a very unique experience.
Me and my friends really enjoyed out stay here and had an absolute blast.
This place was really nice to stay. Such a lovely garden to play in for the kids and to sit in for us.
The cottage was really nice, had everything you need. Great place to be and to explore the surroundings.
We loved staying here. The host Cy was ever so kind and helpful. We loved the fire, the coziness and the bath :)
The beds were all so warm and cozy and we felt extremely relaxed as if we were in our own home away from home.
We had three wonderful in Glenorchy staying in Cy's cottage. The cottage is cute and quirky with a lovely garden (the apples made for a delicious crumble!) and views.
History here, three old cabins joined together, very comprehensively equipped, super wood burning stove for heating and atmosphere, no shortage of firewood, Cy warm generous and hospitable, hard to beat as long as you are not looking for the clinical sameness of a modern motel or hotel.
If you're up for a bit of magic, this cottage has it. There's quirkiness everywhere, from eclectic artwork to charming nooks and crannies. No compromises with mod-cons - this has everything you'll need and more. And our host CY was delightful!
Old and quirky from the outside, cozy and comfy inside. An absolute gem.
We had everything we needed, and the host made sure we'll have a perfect stay.
Having the toilets in the yard wasn't ideal but not an issue at all.
