Stunning Russell - Ocean front beach house -
Russell is a great place to chill out, or wander around the various local historic sites. Visit the Museum or Pompellier House, to the Church with bullet holes from the Maori wars and on to the Flagstaff on Flagstaff Hill chopped down by famous Hone Heki. Enjoy the view from Flagstaff Hill looking across to the Waitangi Treaty grounds. The beach is very safe for children and swimming, Or sit back and enjoy the great view over the ocean. Walking distance to the Russell township is approximately 20 minutes - just follow the path passed the camping ground into the village. Or in your car it will take five minutes. Enjoy a coffee break at one of the local cafes or dinner out at one various eating places. Dining in, there are barbucue facilities provided. Fish off the rocks, or off the wharf. Take on board one of the many trips available in the township to see the Bay from the water and learn more about the history of Russell. The golf course at Waitangi is merely a boat ride away or a take boat ride to Paihia to wander the shopping centre. From here you can walk to the Waitangi grounds. For the more adventurous you can take a day trip to the Cape. Self drive, or take the bus that goes along 90 mile beach. Enjoy a picnic lunch stop at one of the beaches along the way. There is a beautiful bay with toilet facilities first road on the left as you leave the cape. Or a shorter day out trip is to Kerikeri which takes approximately one hour each way. Here you can visit one of the many roadside stalls and pick up fruit and veges at local prices. Lunch at the local vineyard - take the road to the airport at the Kerikeri round about.. The beach house is self catering so you will need to take your own linen and towels, Long beach Russell is a great spot for families and adults alike. Special conditions: Guests are required to supply their own bed linen and towels Entry 2pm Departure 10 am No tents permitted. No more people to stay than there is sleeping accommodation Smoking allowed outside only. Linen and towels NOT provided. We requests guest leave the beach house clean and tidy

Why they chose this property
This is a family property bought by by grand parents when there were very few people living at Long Beach. It has been passed down the generations and is now owned by my sister and myself, being a place we both like to escape to whenever time permits.
