Historic 110 year old house right on the estuary. Formerly the home of the fishing station manager, servicing Sea Cliff asylum with seafood. Right on the river's edge at Karitane. You couldn't get any closer to the water. The estuary provides a safe tidal swimming area for you and your family. Bring your fishing rods and come and play. We have kayaks for you to use. At low tide, enjoy hunting for crabs with the kids or dig for cockles for your dinner. You might see Harold, the resident sea lion in Karitane Harbor. Put your feet up with a book and a cold drink on the deck while your BBQ lunch is cooking. Fancy a short walk to Karitane Beach? Enjoy swimming or surfing at the beach. Ride your push bike along Karitane beach at low tide to the rock pools at the southern end. Walk to the blow holes at the northern end of the beach. The local shop is only a brief walk and stocks all of your essentials. Karitane is only 35km north from Dunedin. Special conditions: Outside dogs allowed with prior approval. New kitchen, new bathroom.
Extras: Cleaning (Required, NZ$80.00 per stay up to 6 people, 7- 10 people cleaning $120); Linen and bathroom towels included

We all had a amazing holiday, weather was beautiful and the house was perfect, view was amazing and fire pit at night was awesome. The walk to blow holes and the area was stunning. We will be back.. Thanks for sharing your beautiful Pink Pipi.
The perfect spot, not too far out of Dunedin to drive in, but far enough to just relax and take in the views. Both the Karitane and Waikouaiti beaches are close. We had some beautiful sunrises that should not to be miised. I WILL DEFINITELY look at booking this when we come back i2028.bemimissed.
A classic kiwi crib - comfortable, views to die for, comfy beds, nice towels, books, games, Netflix, a great log burner and pretty well equipped. We're sorry we didn't have time to use the kayaks.
Awesome spot!!! Amazing Location!! Loved the access to kayaks, lifejackets, wet suits etc!!! Definately coming back!! amazing 3 nights, we wished it was longer!! Hosts go over and beyond!!
We loved spending Christmas at the Pink Pipi. Located close to the local shop wharf and walks, we had access to everything we needed. Best of all, the Bach was right on the estuary and we had free use of kayaks so we could explore right from our back door. The house had a well equipped kitchen and lots of space for us. We had some unexpected cold weather and the fire place was an added bonus.
Really lovely house in a beautiful location. Made use of the kayaks which was great with plenty of other stuff to use. House was well equipped too.
Was a great stay and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

This is a great wee kiwi bach, clean and comfortable, perfect location. Great communication with hosts, very good instructions. Thank you for a great stay
Fantastic location right on waters edge. Used kayaks to puddle around in the estuary. Stunning views and local walks and a great store a few minutes walk away which sells everything including great coffee. Have stayed here before and can't wait to get back.
