A simple farm cottage, but clean and tidy. Lovely towels:) Owners friendly and kind. Greeted on arrival by a cow! Lovely country view and sounds from the verandah.

Perfect for peace and quiet
The cottage is cute and beautifully peaceful, but could do with a really good clean (including verandah area). Bedding was clean and towels were lovely.
This little place is perfect for a get away in nature. The fire place warms the house so well, and the company of sheep brings joy.
Amazing wild beach about 30min away.
Was so great to have extra accommodation for our fairly large family group occupying the guest wing of the main house. Quiet and comfortable with a nice outlook over the farm paddocks :)

The bach was as expected, though an ant problem in the kitchen detracted. The lid wasn't secured (by previous users?) on sugar jar. It was a beutiful, peaceful spot though.

Peaceful & rejuvenating.
Lovely and laid back property. Very peaceful and quiet. The beds were very comfortable, cosy & warm. There was everything we needed. Thank you.
Quaint little cottage with all you need to be really away from it all. Cosy with a fire. We went to watch the lambs frolic and it was perfect.
Only point to note is that the road from Martinborough is closed due to a slip so you have to add another hour at least to the journey to come through a station on a bit of a tricky gravel track.
Really enjoyed the get away & chance to just rest & do nothing. Loved the country surroundings, sheep, & peace & quiet. The accomodation has everything your need. I mistakenly thought there was limited internet coverage which was not right. Must have read it in someone's erroneous comments online. We really wanted to be contactable for emergencies (real ones) if our kids at home needed to contact us. Given how remote the location is (25 minutes from cell / internet) that was a negative & threatened to prevent us from returning despite how much we liked the place. But on the last day I figured out that we could use my iPhone's Satelite coverage to send & receive standard txt messages. So on that basis we'll be able to return :-)
Lovely stay and hosts. Loved the historic cottage with the fire keeping us warm and cozy. It was nice having a break from the internet and spending some family time together. Love Pip the dog 🐕
We enjoyed the peace and quiet...gathered pine cones for the superb fire place for the evening...and ambled through the paddocks/along the riverside during the day. Good place to have a quiet read and be away from the internet.
Rustic, minimalist, simple. It's what we were looking for, and it's what it was. Aside from not having a teapot for which my wife will never forgive, it was great. Our daughter had a field day in the sand pit and play house.
This property is just as pictured. We went in September to see the lambs and got full lamb experience - we even got to feed the pet lambs. The cottage is simple, clean and comfortable. Had the fire going in the evening and it was cozy. The front veranda is perfect for rural viewing and relaxing. One further location tip is to drive past the homestead and the cottage is just past the gate at the end of the drive.
This is a getaway hideout.. come for peace and quiet and take a drive down to the Pahaoa River mouth, east coast at its wild best. Cheeky little fantail to boot.

Good place, basic and perfectly adequate. Difficult to find if you don't get instructions - we didn't, though apparently this was unusual

Rural Idyll
The Bees, the stars, the sheep, the river, the wild beach, the quiet, the bird song. The comfy bed, the relaxed rustic that reminded me of the real Bach of my childhood. What a great, totally relaxing weekend. I'm already looking forward to repeat visits. Thank you to our hosts.

It’s rustic
It’s rustic. That needs to be ok. We absolutely love it. It’s tidy and functional - a real get-away from it all. We’re return offenders and will always go back.
