9 The Strand Russell is a private waterfront house situated on the historic Russell waterfront with exceptional views of the wharf and the colorful Russell anchorage with views spanning across the bay to Paihia and Waitangi.
Enjoy a 2-minute gentle stroll along the waterfront where you will find our famous restaurants The Gables and The Duke of Marlborough, the wharf shops and cafes.
The house is self cantering with a kitchen dining area, full oven, range hood, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher etc, the lounge is large and spacious access to the wrap around covered deck is by french doors, sit on the outdoor furniture overlooking the waterfront and relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the stunning sunsets... WIFI internet is available throughout the house.
The master bedroom has a large private lounge area for that little bit of extra seclusion; a large bay window features a table and chair for the artist or writer in you and an en-suite.
The twin bedroom is at the back of the house and is bathed in the morning sun; it has 2 single beds (these can be pushed together) if required.
On the mezzanine area there are 2 separate areas that can be used as additional bedrooms each has 1 single bed - the mezzanine overlooks the lounge area.
The main bathroom with a shower, full bath, toilet and vanity; there is an additional toilet in the outside laundry area.
9 The Strand has a mooring to accommodate a vessel of up to 60 feet in length overall, by arrangement, please request this at the time of booking.
There is a secured and gated lawn area to accommodate a boat.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
Pricing based on 4 guests using 2 bedrooms For your comfort the house is pet free and is a non-smoking property.
PLEASE NOTE: There is also a mandatory linen and towel fee of $40 per person for the duration of the stay and a Departure Cleaning fee of $300.
No gathering/parties or unauthorized/additional persons staying at the property, this will breach the rental conditions and you may be asked to depart the property. Our general Terms & Conditions apply.

Great Spot
We have always wanted to stay in this house and it did not disappoint. A magnificent location made all the better by beautiful weather. A hose on site would be useful for the boaties amongst us.

Hi, we are so pleased that you enjoyed the house, sorry about the hose, we do not leave them out as they have in the past been taken by boaties mistakenly and the hose has been left on and the water tank drained. Boaties are welcome to bring their own and use with responsibility...

We loved this place! We were a family of six with three...
We loved this place! We were a family of six with three kids aged 11, 12 and 13. We stayed in the property for seven nights in January 2019. The location of the property was great. Close to restaurants but far enough not to be disturbed by anyone. Just across the road from the beach so we could watch the kids from the verandah. Lovely view. Kitchen was very functional and the house had plenty of room. Extra toilet was great. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent property.
Excellent property. Comfortable, clean and tidy. Has everything you need. We didn't use the car at all which was bliss. A short stroll from the restaurants and such a beautiful outlook to the sea and the rising sun each day. Pure bliss!
