Pohutukawa Lake House. Relax in comfort in our well equipped lake house.

Fully furnished with linen, duvets and towels provided. Large deck with outdoor furniture and BBQ. Master bedroom has its own balcony that overlooks lake and boat ramp. Also on site for your use is a double garage. Pohutukawa Lake House-Lake Tarawera sleeps 7. Lake access is nearby with a selection of excellent beaches. Reserve opposite. Only 3 minutes by car to boat ramp.
WiFi, Netflix, a wide range of indoor games available along with up to date magazines, DVD collection and library. There is also a table tennis table, 2 mountain bikes, cricket set, rugby ball, soccer ball available for your use.
Enjoy lake edge walks, swimming, fly fishing or explore the lake. Ten minutes drive to the Landing Cafe and Buried Village. 15 minute drive to mountain bike carpark to access 150km+ of world famous Whakarewarewa mountain bike trails and the Forest Loop Great Ride. Twenty five minutes drive to central Rotorua. Base to enjoy other Rotorua attractions.

The dilemma when booking a place on Lake Tarawera is whether to be on the water or in the woods looking onto the lake. We were so happy we picked the lake house on the hill because it was like living in a tropical oasis with a lake view. So much seclusion and so many birds to watch and listen to with the community sand beach just being a short walk away. The home was warm, and comfortable and well equipped. We hope to return to this gem of a place.

The property suited our group of 6 perfectly. Lovely setting and the house had everything we needed. The driveway was very steep but we parked the car at the bottom and walked up. Enjoyed our stay.

Host great, communication good, left a note about the fire being prepared for us which was a nice touch. Lovely views. Steep drive that was unexpected, not suitable for elderly to climb stairs to property with no hand rail. Nice living area and fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs bedroom was lovely, downstairs not so good, smelt and felt damp. Bedroom with bunk beds was very dark but ok for kids. Nice house and maybe in the warmer months would be a lovely place to stay.
