Camden "Garden Cottage" - ¡Colorido en agosto, septiembre y octubre!

"Tan acogedor como una cabaña y tan espacioso como una casa".

Nuestro noveno año. Más de 100 grupos de vacaciones felices de más de 2 huéspedes de 28 estados de EE. UU. Y 2 países extranjeros. Muchos visitantes repetidos.

*** EL AJUSTE ***

"Hogar lejos del hogar." Entorno campestre * tranquilo * bordeado por un extenso bosque y cerca del centro de la ciudad.

En un enclave tranquilo, pero esta cabaña está a solo 15-20 minutos a pie del centro y del puerto interior.

Espacio abierto a su alrededor. (NO hay vecinos cercanos, esquinas de calles, o tráfico concurrido atestando esta cabaña, aunque hay * muy ocasionalmente * un evento al lado. Esto sucede quizás una vez al mes).

Barrio residencial tranquilo. Amplio espacio interior para privacidad y para estirarse y relajarse.

Calzada privada, fuera de la vía pública y estacionamiento para uso exclusivo de los huéspedes.

Muchos coloridos jardines informales cuentan con más de 50 árboles con flores diferentes, arbustos, plantas perennes y plantas anuales en un acre de tierra, con bosques adyacentes. Casa de verano separada con vistas a los jardines y atrapa la brisa.

Los propietarios viven al lado para facilitar la comunicación y les encanta dar recomendaciones personales. Asistencia amable disponible en todo momento.

Tenemos un jardín grande y seguro donde los niños pueden correr. Puede vigilarlos desde el balcón / terraza, o simplemente disfrutar de una taza de café allí por la mañana o sus propios refrescos por la noche.

La ocupación habitual es de 2, 3 o 4. Un quinto huésped puede alojarse por una tarifa adicional de ropa de cama de $ 100.

La casa tiene 18 años nuevos. Inmaculado. Limpiamos mucho entre estancias y una vez por semana para visitas prolongadas.

Flores frescas colocadas en el alféizar de su ventana semanalmente, o incluso más a menudo a pedido.

Well worth the time spent there. Location was ideal for our comings and goings. David and Linda couldn't have been more accommodating. Supplies were ample, as were the cooking utensils. The living room furniture is pretty well-worn, but that wasn't much of a factor.

Home away from home!

We stayed here for 4 weeks and absolutely loved the cottage! Owner took good care of us, giving us flowers, taking out BBQ grill, receiving packages and so on but leaving us alone. We drove to Rockland everyday to attend to our boat but also walked to Camden and Rockport often. It is convenient, gorgeous, quiet place surrounded by large garden full of flowers and green maintained by the owner couple. Fully equipped kitchen, laundry machines, bathrooms, lots of books and board games make it a home away from home in true sense.

Pearl Street Cottage

We had a wonderful time on our visit to Maine. It was our first time there, but definitely won’t be the last. The cottage was lovely and was surrounded by gardens that were equally as beautiful. The cottage was exactly as pictured and so very comfortable. The weather was a bit rainy, but we had checked the forecast for a couple of weeks prior to our visit and knew that it probably would be. We were prepared with warm clothing and rain gear, so it wasn’t a problem. David and Paula were wonderful hosts! They were always very responsive to any questions we had, but gave us plenty of space to explore and relax. We have only great things to say about our trip, our hosts and their lovely cottage!!

Wonderful cottage

We had a wonderful two weeks here. The cottage is comfy and had absolutely everything we needed, and David and Paula were friendly and helpful. The garden is lovely. We have already booked our next visit.

Lovely week stay at the cottage

We went for the Lobster Festival and visiting Arcadia park and many lobster pounds The cottage was in Camden next and was well situated for day trips north and south. We were greeted upon arrival by David who gave us the cottage and grounds tour Clean comfortable and had everything we needed Grocery store very close and the hosts couldn’t have been more helpful but only if you ask. Quiet neighborhood and the landscaping was impeccable Very pleased with our cottage stay!!!!

Great little cottage in a central Camden location

Comfy, non-fussy & quiet cottage on owner’s property. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and within striking distance of so much in this part of Maine and less than 5 minutes to historic Camden. We so enjoyed our visit and David’s helpfulness with things to do and see. The cottage was perfect (and thoroughly equipped) for we two couples traveling together. Loved coming ‘home’ and just relaxing after long days of ‘touring and doing’. Our 7-day stay was just too short!

The Blanchard's Garden Cottage was an immaculately kept property. The outside grounds were lovely.

The outside was a treat for the eyes to behold. My family enjoyed walking outside on the grounds and admiring the beautiful flowers and greenery. The Blanchard's work hard at keeping the outside property looking lovely and it shows! The views of the gardens surrounding the cottage are breathtaking. And the inside of the cottage is as big a treat to behold as the outside. Again, their hard work is evident the first step you take into the cottage. Beautifully and tastefully decorated, and as functional as your own home would be to stay in. And the Blanchard's themselves were the perfect host and hostess. Many days were filled with suggestions of places to visit, provided by them. We had a lovely and comfortable stay at the Garden Cottage and would recommend it to everyone!

Maine At Your Fingertips

As indicated with 5 stars in all categories above our stay was certainly better that we had expected. David's outdoor property was well kept that emphasized his gardening skills with flowers and bushes that that gave the property a wonderful woodsy effect. What was unexpected in our journey to Maine was a mechanical problem with the tailgate hatch on our car. After I purchased the parts required, David not only lent me the tools, but actually helped with replacement. David is a congenial and well-rounded conversationalist along with tips and info on the local lore of the area and Maine itself. Not to disregard the house which was immaculate and every possible household item was initially provided.

Clean, cozy cottage, beautiful location walk to town,

I thank David and Paula for sharing their beautiful cottage. They were the perfect hosts - on site if we needed them, they said we could just go next door and knock on their door, yet very much let us have our space and privacy. We never saw them unless we needed them. They are very sweet, kind, people, and very fun to talk to about the area and things to do. We very much enjoyed them and their beautiful cottage, and their yard and gardens are beautiful! They provided everything I could think of in the cottage, all pots, pans, dishes, utencils, towels, sheets, coffee, etc, and they were so helpful and offered many suggestions of things to do in the area. The cottage was meticulously clean and tidy, the beds were comfy, and the yard is so beautiful! And the cottage is in the perfect location! It's a quiet little getaway tucked back in a beautiful yard with privacy all around, in a lovely neighborhood, yet just a short beautiful walk to town. We walked to town and the harbor almost every morning for coffee and every evening for ice cream at the River Ducks ice cream shop (it's delicious and they have gluten free ice cream cones!). We stayed for 1 week and enjoyed 3 local hikes (the climb up Mount Battie was a favorite, but all were lovely), local lighthouses, the park on the Harbor and one with a little swimming cove, the harbor, local shops and restaurants, the Owl Head Lobster Co was where we bought lobster straight from the dock near Owl Head lighthouse, and a sunset sail on Penobscot Bay with the ship 'Surprise' right in town on the harbor. We also did a day trip to Acadia which was beautiful! It was a great little house in a great location that made for a fantastic vacation for our family of 4. We will return another summer and highly recommend to anyone.

comfortable cottage in Camden

Our groups of 4 adults spent 5 nights at the Garden Cottage. We found it to be very homey and comfortable, quiet and well stocked. The hosts left very helpful and detailed information on not only the cottage, but day trips in the area, dining suggestions, etc. We found the area to be very visitor friendly, and would recommend this place to friends and family.

Five stars are not enough

This is a very, very comfortable modern cottage-like real house in the middle of a fantastic perennial botanical garden. Quiet, isolated and yet in the middle of whatever you want to do. The hosts are concierge level or invisible, your choice. Too bad that are not 10 star ratings for this get-away-and-relax nest.

What a wonderful place to stay while vacationing in Maine

The cottage is spacious, comfortable, homey, and well appointed. Plenty of creature comforts that made our stay enjoyable. Lovely neighborhood that was quiet but welcoming, close to downtown shops and wonderful restaurants. Plenty of privacy even though help and assistance was only a door knock away. Most of all, we truly appreciated the genuine hospitality of Dave and Paula, who went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we were safe and sound during the landfall of hurricane Lee. We look forward to visiting the Garden Cottage again, and whole heartedly recommend it to anyone who ventures this way.

Beautiful garden cottage in Camden

From the moment we arrived, we enjoyed everything about our one month stay at David and Paula’s cottage in Camden. The location in a residential area less than a mile walk to town was perfect-quiet and peaceful away from tourist areas but with easy access to everything. The cottage itself was just right for two couples: spacious and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. And our hosts were always available for any questions or advice that we needed. Also, the gardens provided much peaceful enjoyment as we relaxed on the porch. David kept our vase full of fresh flowers from their wonderful garden. Highly recommend for a great stay in Camden!

Couldn’t be better

The Garden Cottage is a wonderful place to stay when visiting the mid coast. Well located, just a short walk from downtown, tucked next to the Merryspring Nature Center, the cottage is a tranquil oasis in a spectacular garden. The cottage itself is well appointed and has everything you’ll need for a comfortable And relaxing stay. Morning coffee on the deck overlooking the beach roses is a particular treat. David and Paula are gracious hosts who are quick to help in any way they can. We would highly recommend a stay at the cottage.

Restful get away!

David and Paula, They're is not enough I can say to express how wonderful our stay in the cottage was for us. The place is perfect and offers everything needed when you are away from home. In fact it felt like home. Your property is beautiful. Every direction is an exquisite view. We love the care that you have poured into your landscape. Thank you for the personal care you showed us and the thoughtful offer of art supplies to Jo. Your recommendations for food and places to go were spot on though we spent most of or time at the cottage. We do have some perishable items to leave that we hate to throw away. Any suggestions? When we moved to this beautiful spot 34 years ago we began developing its gardens and landscape for beauty and enjoyment. The gardens are now reaching maturity and we delight in them every day. We live right next door to the house/cottage (but conveniently out of sight), and this is our only vacation rental. We think of all visitors as our special guests.

Our neighborhood, while in town, is a quiet residential street. The cottage property is uniquely bordered by a (seldom used) community meeting hall, our lawn and gardens, and a large woodland. Because it is set well back from the street at the end of its own driveway, the cottage affords visitors the chance to enjoy more than an acre of quiet gardens and solitude while still being close to everything. The cottage is nestled in a naturalistic landscape of woods, lawn, trees, shrubs, and abundant flowers.

One-floor living, two full bathrooms, extra wide doorways, strategically placed grab rails, entrance ramp, close-in parking all make this uniquely suited for people with special needs.
