From the covered verandah, the bungalow opens up to spacious bedroom and living area, with a modern open kitchen and bathroom at the back. Everything is new and designed for tropical comfort. Lyas Bungalows offer sheltered privacy and stunning tropical mountain views.

Access to the beach is literally across the road and the likelyhood of seeing anyone there is remote.
The bungalows are 600m along the beach to Moana Sands, and 400m to Little Poly and Fruits of Raro (Rarotongas top snorkling site).

A little touch of paradise

Host was quick to respond to any queries. Great location, comfortable bed, well set up kitchen, helpful having a separate laundry and washing line, nice covered deck area and tropical garden. Fridge freezer could afford to be bigger especially for a longer stay like ours.

Splendid

What a stay at Lyas Bungalow 2! Tucked away on a private section, surrounded by foliage and the odd chicken or two. Walking distance to Little Polynesian restaurant and some very nice cafe's. Bed was very comfy and although we didn't utilize the kitchen area it was fully stocked with everything you could need. The laundry was super handy after using the mud buggys! We have nothing negative to say, would definitely use Lyas again if we come back. 10/10

Loved Lya's!

Stayed Sept 2023 5 nights. Lya's is a fabulous spot to stay! It's off the main road so fairly quiet and very private. There are only 2 villas and the gardens are beautiful with a spectacular mountain over the back. The small kitchenette is well appointed and the fridge was stocked with fruit juice, milk, tea, coffee & sugar to get us started. We loved that Charlie's was just over the road and the best snorkelling is along the beach just to the left. We walked the beach in both directions every day and it was so pretty and relaxing. Lya's is a great for the more budget conscious as not being beachfront it's a little cheaper. Staying at Lya's for half our time on Raro meant we could afford a beachfront bungalow for the second half of our trip. We would definitely stay at Lya's again!

Great studio.

We really enjoyed Lyas bungalow 2. It was a clean, well kitted out studio suitable for 1 or 2 people. We stayed for 10 days and were very comfortable there. A special mention for the bed which we found really, really, comfy! The location is good with a very nice beach across the road. Proximity to Charlie’s bar was not a problem at all - most nights we heard very little or nothing at all and everything went quiet at 9pm on the one slightly rowdier night. The studio had everything we needed and we appreciated the ceiling fan and the full laundry. We cooked most nights and it was easy on the 2 burner hob. The fridge is small but more than enough and, importantly - really quiet during the night. We both agreed we would stay again.

Great hideaway

We had a peaceful, quiet stay in this beautiful, well maintained bungalow. We enjoyed the kitchen which had everything we needed to cook. The garden is green and the view into the mountains soothing. Loungers could make it even more enjoyable.

AWESOME!!

What an amazing place to stay while in Rarotonga. It is fully equipped with what you need for your stay. Plenty of space to relax outside. It was way better than what we were expecting from the photos and described. Short walk to the beach and Charlie's which has great food and drink. Eddie is amazing to deal with. Nothing is a problem and is very helpful for suggestions on what to do while there. We'll be back as we had to cut our trip short due to Corona virus. Thanks Eddie, Doug

The bungalow was very clean and tidy. Everything we needed to cater for ourselves was there.

The plants surrounding the bungalow have grown a lot since the photos were taken of the section, which makes it very private. And makes it very sheltered on those windy days. Five minutes down the road to Muri which has a lot of great places to dine. The local little dairy provides all the basics you might need. Charlie's Cafe is right across the road, great food, great value, great music from local talents and fantastic hospitality.

Great location. The accommodation has everything you need to have a relaxed and enjoyable stay

The property manager was easy to deal with. Responded quickly to enquiries and was happy to arrange airport transfers. The property itself is located just across the road from the beach. There is also a bar/cafe across the road if you feel like dining out. We laugh everytime we come to the islands as there is always a resident rooster or two...this property is no exception.Would highly recommend this property for all it has to offer.

We loved the privacy of this lovely little bungalow. it was so comfortable and in a great location. the clothes line was a great feature! very well equipped kitchen, loved the deck! Eddie was really great and easy to make arrangements with, he made sure we had details that would make our stay more comfortable (where to eat, how to get around etc).

Lovely secluded little spot

The bungalow had everything we needed. We enjoyed the short walk to the Fruits of Rarotonga to go snorkeling, visited Charlie's Bar for dinner and drinks one night and walked to the tropical gardens, also not far away from the bungalow. Got lots of great photos of tropical flowers and plants. Would definitely recommend this property.

Gorgeous little tropical house. Very clean and tidy. Good privacy and great location.

It was a pleasure to stay at Lyas bungalow 2. The bed was very comfortable - the best we’ve had in Raro! The kitchen was well equipped and everything was clean. The bug screens on the windows and door were a life saver as the mosquitoes were out in force! It’s an awesome location with the marine reserve just down the road and Charlie’s at the end of the driveway. A few small improvements - the fridge is rediculously small for a 10 day stay and it could do with a freezer. Also, the BBQ was mouldy and greasy and one of the burners is broken. It’s a small (but annoying) thing, but the bottom sheet didn’t fit well and kept coming loose. All in all though, it was great for the price, very comfortable, clean and tidy. We’ll be back....but maybe in winter next time!

House has everything you need. Great location, directly across the road from Charlie's and about 200m from a great snorkelling area. Although not beachfront if weather is dicey (our stay was mostly rain and wind) Lya's is a great location as it facing opposite the prevailing tradewinds and so is very sheltered. I would definitely return, totally awesome cottage and gardens in a great location, beautifully kept. The cottage/bungalow was very clean and had everything we needed. Across the road is also a great bar and restaurant called Charlies overlooking the lagoon - which is also great for snorkeling spot.
