There is an additional small foam mattress in the master bedroom perfect for a young child. The brand new kitchen has been equipped to satisfy the serious home cook. The large HD LED flat screen television comes with Netflix and Bluetooth sound bar. The modern gas heater ensures you will be comfortable no matter the weather. In winter superior quilts and electric blankets will keep out the winter chills. Plenty of storage for all your skiing equipment. Walking and cycling trails along the beautiful Clutha, Hawea and Cardrona Rivers almost at the backdoor. Tippy Canoe makes the perfect getaway for one or two couples, or a holiday with family or friends.
You will never forget having breakfast on your private verandah taking in the uninterrupted 180 degree views of the surrounding mountains and the Clutha River Valley. The apartment has its own laundry with new washing machine and dryer. You will enjoy your stay in this peaceful retreat.

The accommodation is tastefully decorated. It is compact but more than big enough for our family of 5 (3 teenagers). It is clean and had everything we needed. The balcony outside is perfect for watching some amazing sunsets with a fantastic view of the surrounding hills. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Little Unit

This unit was suitable for a family of 4 to stay for 4 nights. Beautiful views, absolutely stunning. The decor and unit was cute and welcoming and very clean. The owners have thought of everything you would need for a stay. The only thing I would say is that you definitely need a car as it is about a 5 minute drive into Wanaka. Alos be aware there are people living under and directly next door to the unit.

Overall stay was 0k. Wasn’t aware the apartment was attached to the tenanted main property and could hear the tenants quite loudly and clearly each night. Bathroom door handle was loose. Communication was poor due to incorrect email address but once resolved was fine. Property was booked months in advance and had to pay a price increase from what was advertised due to it being school holidays/an event in Wānaka. The place itself was clean and had a nice view.

Great location, stunning view

We really enjoyed our stay at Tippy Canoe. It was handy to Wanaka but in a peaceful spot. The apartment was extremely nice - quite compact but very comfortable, well-appointed, and beautifully decorated. And the wide view from the balcony was stunning - we spent ages sitting outside just drinking it in! Would definitely stay again, and recommend it to couples or a small family.

Beautiful location amazing views , great property with everything that was needed for self contained stay. I would say that the accomodation is very compact and small amount of space for two adults and two large teens but we adapted to that ok . Also we had a bit of noise from next door that kept us up very late on a few nights - very thin walls as we could hear them talking and walking around their house very late past midnight. But overall we were happy with the house and comfort .

Quaint accommodation with amazing views!

A sparkling clean apartment with super cute decor. The apartment is located upstairs of a house (bottom floor rented by permanent tenants), and the views from the balcony are spectacular. We did have some issues with the shower's water turning cold when anyone else turned on a faucet from the apartment (or downstairs seemingly), but it's a lovely place and we would definitely stay again.

Wonderful views from the outdoor area. Beautifully decorated with the 'Tippy Canoe' theme and nice touch to have the actual book in the bookcase. Well equipped, clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Great location - the views are amazing and we never got tired of standing on the balcony looking out at the mountains. The property is exactly as it is described and extremely well stocked in terms of kitchen appliances and utensils. The bottle of wine that was left for us was a really nice touch! Thank you heaps. We would love to return to this property one day.
