Rustic 2 Bedroom home nestled in the Bethells area.
Stunning views of Bethells Beach and the Sand Dunes that lead to the beautiful Lake Wainamu. Relax and unwind in this Bach surrounded by natural beauty and birdsong. In the day hear the birdsong of the Tui and in the evening listen out for the unmistakable call of the Ruru (Morepork) Owl.

Only nature at it's very best.
This beautiful bach is perfect for a family vacation or a romantic getaway. Or a quick 2 minute drive to the beach for a walk along Bethells beach or a surf over the hill at the well know O'Neils surf beach.
In the summer there is the Bethells Cafe which offer food and beverages.
A beautiful location for a winter escape, rug up and explore the beach and then come home and relax in front of a roaring fire.
A 10 minute drive will take you back to the Waitakere Golf club.
You have the luxury of privacy of a whole house, offering value for money and accommodating up to 8 people.
We have wi-fi at the bach and a land line for local calls. There is now a mobile tower in the area so you can stay connected. .

Extras: Cleaning (Required, NZ$100.00 per stay); This is to assure you have the most comfortable stay possible along with clean linen.
This includes sheets, towels, hand towels and tea towels, you do need to bring your own beach towels.

If there was an option to give a 9.99 rating it would be because Shrek 1 (what we REALLY wanted to watch) was missing from the HUGE dvd collection (they had 2,3 and 4).Apart from that everything was perfect.Will definitely be coming back again and have already recommended the batch to some friends.

Everything was in good condition and Paula, the host, was very helpful. I needed to adjust the booking several times and it was no problem. The only issue for us was that there were no beach towels available. This was a bit of a surprise to us and we only found out after we had arrived. Perhaps this could be made clearer upon booking. (It is possible that I missed it somewhere.) We had travelled internationally and so didn’t have towels with us. Fortunately we were able to borrow some from family. Otherwise, the house had everything we needed and we had an enjoyable stay.

Beauiful place and bach

This bach and location is superb! Clean comfy cosy bach surrounded by the beauty of Te Henga landscape. Even though our stay was mid winter with wind and rain the logburner and generous wood supply kept us so cosy We could easily access beautiful local beach and bush walks Highly recommend in all ways

Bethells Beach

We enjoyed our stay at Ruru Cottage. Unfortunately the cyclone hit this area hard and many areas were closed down. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our walks on Bethells Beach. Ruru Cottage was well equipped communications with Paula were excellent.

Simply stunning

A charming cottage for a family getaway, we couldn't have asked for more. The house was exceptionally clean, the communication excellent, and the location breathtaking. We played many board games and watched a few DVDs, it was exactly the holiday we were after. We'd definitely return to Ruru Cottage.
