Our stay was absolutely fabulous. We had a delightful time and enjoyed everything about the house. The hosts were lovely and the details about the history of the house and area were a great addition. Thank you for making our early Christmas so fab.
We had a wonderful stay at Accrington. The house and garden are just beautiful and the surrounding farmland and bays are just paradise. It was such a lovely, peaceful escape from the city and the hosts have thought of everything to make a stay here so comfortable and enjoyable. We loved it.
Accrington house was a 10 out of 10 for our family. Beautiful setting with an amazing garden and all the comforts in a gracious old farm house. Thanks for the opportunity to stay. Enjoyed by all.
A perfect place for a midwinter family celebration
Accrington was the perfect spot for a mid winter family gathering to celebrate an 80th birthday. Warm, comfy, absolutely everything we needed in a lovely setting - and far enough from home to be an adventure without too much travel. The new "seed shed" room was a great venue for our multi generational party - thank you to Annabel for making our stay so enjoyable, and to the Craw family for sharing their little piece of paradise with us.
A Wonderful peaceful country home full of history .
Incredible gardens, comfortable beds and cosy house once the fire warmed it up ! We will definitely be returning (O:
Thank you Annabel and Family for sharing this beautiful home !
We arrived to this amazing location, the house was perfect and immaculate with lots of personalised touches and a note from Annabel. We had awful winds but they did everything they could to ensure our stay was great. Would definitely go back 5 stars xx
We had such a lovely time celebrating my 40th at Accrington farmhouse - it was cosy and had everything we needed. Annabelle was very easy to communicate with, had some great suggestions for catering, and set up a lovely table for us in a separate 'seed shed' for a celebration lunch. I would definitely go back!
The homestead was the perfect place for our family celebration. The venue was excellent, very tasteful decor, extremely comfortable beds with hot water bottles on each bed. Very well stocked kitchen suitable for large groups. Lovely gardens and great playing areas for children. We made good use of the outdoor table, sun drenched verandas and lawns. Added bonus was the local beaches and cows in the back paddock.
Excellent communication with Annabel and Hamish. A wonderful property. We are looking forward to returning.
A truly wonderful find. The home is warm and inviting, full of beautiful cosy touches - woolen blankets, hot water bottles, fresh flowers everywhere, interesting books and history. And a great fireplace! The garden is absolutely lovely and we struggled to drag our little boys away from it on our last day. Stunning part of the world too, so many bays and villages to explore, and we were very generously offered the opportunity to meet some of the family’s animals and feed the chickens. Annabel and Hamish should be very proud of the memorable home they have created!
What a beautiful place! The house, grounds and surrounding area were so wonderful and perfect for our large family celebration. We couldn’t have wished for better.
We stayed here for a family holiday with 3 generations - perfect spot for a group. We did some beautiful walks, then relaxed on the verandah listening to the birds. We'll be back.
Dont advertise for up to 15.
Living/dining space too small for that number.
BBQ inadequate for large numbers
Even though oven problems were disclosed, still could have put in a temp oven to help cater for large numbers. Cooking was a big issue.
But lovely setting, beautiful garden
Am amazing house and gardens plenty of room for the 12 of us. Easy access to Okains Bay, Akaroa and Little Akaloa. Great place to relax and unwind. Would definitely stay again.
We had the most amazing time at Accrington. The home and grounds are so beautiful and spacious, and the house itself is wonderfully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable, pleasurable stay. We appreciated the owner's welcoming touches and we're all looking forward to returning for another memorable break away together.
If you are looking for a quiet retreat, then this is the place. Beautifully restored original farmhouse with everything we needed. Enjoyed hearing the birds and relaxing in the beautiful garden.
A thoroughly enjoyable break away in immaculate homestead with wonderful history. Annabel prepared the home beautifully and we particularly enjoyed the vases of flowers from their lovely garden and homegrown honey!
Needed longer so will have to rebook in future.
Accrington is one very special place. The garden alone set amongst the farm was a delight. I did love wandering amongst it noticing the plants and trees. There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view, read, eat or have a nice glass of wine in the evening. The place has history and care has been taken to honour this with thoughtful styling, keeping comfort in mind. As a family, we loved the space of the house and all that the local area had to offer. Thank you very much for sharing this lovely place. We will be back!
This stunning historical farmstead leaves you speechless, stunningly beautiful countryside and farmland and gardens surround you and inside incredible spacious comfortable homely living with a great kitchen and living areas, beautifully appointed with artfully chosen heritage pieces. Farm life goes on so peacefully all around you and it is a delight to relax and unwind there both inside and out.
The fire was going when we arrived, which was a nice touch, and fantastic to be given the opportunity to stay a little longer on Sunday, meant we could enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Everything was clean and tidy, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
