CBay Holiday Home - Spectacular 180˚ Views

Welcome to Cable Bay in the beautiful Doubtless Bay area. Here, you are surrounded by beautiful beaches, friendly people and many fabulous sights all on your doorstep!

Cable Bay is great for swimming and also has the “lagoon” to the left which is perfect for the little ones or the less confident swimmer. You can also enjoy snorkelling and explore the rock pools at low tide then sit on the beach with some delicious takeaways from the local dairy. Lots to see and do :)

The beautiful and historical Mangonui township is just a short 5 min drive away. Here you will find a hotel, a number of eateries, tourism shop and a 4 Square all for your convenience not to mention a wharf if you want to try your hand at a bit of fishing. A market is held on Tuesday evenings with local produce and crafts all on the offering.

Coopers Beach shopping centre boasting a 4 Square, butchery, pharmacy and diner is only a 3 min drive away. You will also find a liquor store, “Dollarland” and sports/fishing store conveniently located across from the 4 Square. If you wish to do a larger grocery shop, Kaitaia township is a 30min drive west where you will find a Pak’n’Save and many other amenities normally located in a larger township.

Just west over the hill you will find the small settlement of Taipa which boasts the Ramada Resort with restaurant, a gas station, convenience store, fish’n’chip shop, bakery, tavern etc not to mention a beautiful long sandy beach and a safe estuary for the littlies. Further west you will find the turnoff to Tokerau, Whatuwhiwhi and Matai Bay all within 25 mins drive and well worth a visit.

So, whether you plan to just put your feet up, relax and enjoy the spectacular views from the deck or use the property as a jump off point to the many sights and day trips on offer, we know you’ll enjoy your stay at CBay Holiday Home……your home away from home!

Special conditions:
Please leave your shoes at the door. Smoking allowed outside only. Families preferred but not limited to. No pets allowed. Limited off road parking for boats and trailers. All recyclables to be disposed of by tenant and council approved yellow rubbish bags (1 provided per tenancy) to be placed into wheelie bin at back of property by gas bottles.
Extras: Linen (included); Cleaning - please leave the property clean and tidy as you found it :)

Great home base to explore the north!

Very nice place, awesome view to the beach. The rooms had some toys and board games to entertain the kids. The place does not have A/C, but you only had to open up the sliding doors to get all the sea breeze. Marvelous stay, Thanks Tina!

Excellent place to stay.

Tina was wonderful to deal with. Great communication with fast replies back. The view was amazing and we just loved sitting out in the deck admiring the view across the bay. The property was exactly what we needed with lots of room and great facilities. We will definitely be back!!

Great property, Great Location

Tina was brilliant with the organization and information at the house. Situated in a great location to discover Taipa and Cable Bay. House was awesome for the 2 families - 10 of us in total.

Excellent accommodation

We stayed in this place with family. Enjoyed beautiful scenic view from the house. The home had all essentials we could need. Was clean neat and tidy. Enjoyed our selves so much that we plan to return for another holiday next year. Perfect for family and friends.

Fabulous peaceful spot, spectacular view

Our group was 10, roomy for us all even on one wet day plenty to do, had everything we needed...could do with a dryer when its raining. Well equiped kitchen, teens/young adults loved it.

Great place

Beautiful views, well stocked house. Everything you might need. Plenty of kitchen supplies-pots and pabs, utensils, plates etc. Spacious. Deck with seating, bbq. Clise to beach. A wonderful place to stay.

Cable Bay

This is very impressive accommodation. The house was a lot bigger than what we expected and very well appointed. Was very clean also. Tina was great to deal with. I would definitely recommend this house to stay at if you are staying in the Doubtless Bay area.

An amazing week away!

What a lovely bach. Accurate description of the bach, it was tidy and clean and had all the amenities needed for our getaway. Beds we’re comfortable and the bach was spacious. We enjoyed sitting on the deck having breakfast and dinner while enjoying the sun. The view was gorgeous. We had issues with the sound coming from the TV but Tina and her husband were on to it straight away. Would highly recommend to all. Hope to visit again soon.

Cable Bay delight

From the minute we drove down the driveway and saw the stunning view we were excited. The house is beautifully situated and all amenites provided. Our family loved the 2 nights we spent, very relaxing, easy house to relax and unwind. Supermarket not far away. (The only negative I have is the musty smell of the tea towels and bath towels. Could be a one off because of all the recent rain, washing hard to dry) Otherwise 5 stars. Thank you

Family weekend in an awesome venue

What can I say other than this place was just awesome! As soon as we arrived the view just took our breath away. From then on we realised how well the house was set up. We had a family crew which included my infant son who recently turned two. All I can say is this house is sooooooooooo well set up for families and those with young children. I can’t stop but recommend them we had such a lovely stay!!! Finally I want to say how sweet and helpful the host Tina was, any query she was quick to respond and was such a gracious host. In summary stay here! Your guaranteed a great time ;)

Highly recommended

This house was by far the best equipped than any we have stayed in. It had absolutely everything we could need and the extra supplies like tea, coffee, toilet paper etc were the icing on the cake. Great house, great location and Tina was very accommodating. Awesome place for our family Easter getaway. Will be back for sure.

Family-friendly top quality bach

Clean, spacious home away from home feel. Awesome deck to lap up the amazing ocean view. Short walk to beach for rock exploring, beach combing and swimming. Short drive to Coopers beach and Mangonui village. Friendly host who has catered for all of your needs. An awesome place!

Superb location, exceeded expectations

What an awesome house, seriously they have everything you need for a comfortable and easy stay. Perfect for young kids and adults! Awesome view to the ocean where we were lucky enough to spot orcas. Easy walk or drive to the beach. Spacious and comfy. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic stay in Cable Bay

We had a wonderful family holiday here! Tina's house is very well appointed and cared for -- the kitchen is stocked with cooking equipment and utensils, it's very clean, heaps of towels and extra blankets, and lots of living space. The view from the house, overlooking Cable Bay and Doubtless Bay are spectacular.
