Three Tiny Cottages with sweeping sea views and beautiful sunrises over Mercury Bay and the Islands beyond.

The Bathroom/Laundry and washing up sink facility is across the driveway in the black cottage please see photos.

Please note I have an age restriction of children 8 years and over only as not suitable for infants please confirm when booking.

The Cottages are all uniquely set up for you in a private setting with the options of Loft sleeping accessed by a ladder for 2 with double mattress and sea views, Private bedroom with queen bed and views.

Separate bunk room sleeps 2 off the porch with sliding louvre door for privacy, blackout blinds, opening window, external door to small courtyard with table and chairs.

In the Kitchenette, Loft cottage you have a tiny stone sink with a cold water tap for food prep and drinking water.

A covered BBQ dining area with seating for 6.

Outside alfresco table and chairs, bench seats with shade sail.

Mini front porch with views.

Outdoor shower.

Everything about our stay was delightful. The accommodation was spotless, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully furnished, with every detail carefully considered. Anna was incredibly helpful, responsive, and welcoming, which made our experience even more enjoyable.

A hidden gem

Such a wonderful stay we had in the beautiful Whitianga. The host is kind and thoughtful and we are provided with everything we can think of. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be going back in summer.

Anna’s home

The photos don’t do the property justice, Anna was so welcoming and made us feel at home. Only 5 minutes drive to town and so close to the beach, we’ll definitely be coming back.

Perfect for our weekend getaway

Awesome little place for the Wife and I to stay for the weekend, plenty of parking for a big boat aswell as we could fit the 7m boat and ute in without taking it off, granted no other cars were in the way. Thanks for the great accommodation and awesome communication.

Lovely place to stay

Absolutely loved staying here! The cabins are cosy and warm with a lovely view. Everything you need is provided and Anna is a super welcoming and friendly host. The beach is a short drive (or walk if you're willing to climb the steep hill back) away and Anna has lots of recommendations for things to do in the area. Thank you for a lovely weekend, we loved it :)

Five stars really aren't enough!

We had the absolute pleasure of staying in these cottages recently. This was our first trip away on our own for nearly 4 years (sad I know..) and we truly couldn't have picked a more perfect home to stay in. With the most gorgeous views from the balcony of the 'living' cottage, everything about this stay was fabulous. Anna, our host, was just lovely with her easy-going attitude and great local knowledge...I can guarantee if you book here, your stay will be amazing! We'll be back for sure!

Gorgeous little cottage with spectacular views!!

Our stay was…well, it was nothing short of amazing! The tiny cottages were so damn cute and made for a very romantic setting. The view is absolutely breathtaking. Anna was the best host ever! She was so helpful with everything, from activity recommendations to the best restaurants in town (highly recommended Blue Ginger). We felt as though we had great privacy during our stay and felt super comfortable with everything, the neighbourhood is so friendly. All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a better start to a holiday! We will definitely be recommending these tiny cottages to all our friends. Thanks so much Anna, you’ve done an amazing job with these!!!

Delightful cottages

Anna’s three cottages are delightfully quirky. The bedroom and living room cottages are connected by a covered area and the laundry, shower and kitchen wash up area is across the drive so you need to go outside to get to the bathroom- not a problem for us at the weather was lovely and it is summer. The decor is very pleasant and everything is provided from spade for Hot Water Beach, to boogie boards and gas BBQ. We appreciated having separate places to sleep with the double bed in a separate room to the mezzanine bed accessed by a ladder. Anna was very accommodating when we had to change our arrangements due to Cyclone Gabrielle. Fully recommend Anna’s place. I would definitwly stay there again. Thanks a lot Anna

I also have created my own home from a 45 square meter garage into a Chabby chic 1 bedroom home for myself and Mr Booj my border terrier which is located behind the barn sliding doors on the property.

I have a keen interest in tiny home living and hope you enjoy your tiny home experience in the Black Blonde Bach.

An opportunity to create my Tiny homes and the magic views of Mercury Bay and Islands with a quiet neighborhood are what bought me to 6 Rimu street with a backdrop of bush and lush gardens and birds.

The Black Blonde Bach was a dream that I always wanted to create on my property and share, they are a fabulous way to experience Tiny home living with the benefits of an amazing sea, coastal view. Private and set amongst gorgeous gardens they have beautiful character of there own with all the little extras to make your stay comfortable and romantic.
