Positive: House is beautiful. Cleanliness top notch. Host is very responsive: had three issues and he always got right back to me. Neutral: Mattresses are very firm.Negative: The description states that a "quiet tenant" lives downstairs and that we really wouldn't see or feel him. Well, more than one person lives in the basement, and they are not quiet. When we returned from dinner the first night, the woman was sitting on the porch (our private entrance). She gave us the stink eye as we parked and got out of the car. As we approached, she slinked away to the side of the house. People were constantly going in and out of that basement apartment. Little sound insulation between floors: we could hear their conversations and a crying baby. Saturday night they had a party--entire house was shaking with music. People were leaning against our cars in the driveway. I went outside and asked them to turn the music down. One said ok, went inside, but the music was not turned down. I had to contact the owner, and the problem was eventually solved. A sign on the basement door asked us to be quiet after 10 pm which was a joke because the downstairs tenants were up past midnight making noise every night. They are the ones who needed a sign on their door. We paid too much money to put up with that nonsense. To wrap up: lovely house, nice neighborhood, responsive owners. The downstairs tenants are not quiet: we heard, saw, and felt them. They made us feel like intruders.
