Loved the quiet seclusion of the Shack, but also that we were close to hikes, lakes, markets, and food. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay!!

We loved the location of the shack and it had a nice living space and kitchen. Also the hot tub was wonderful! However when we arrived the shower head was not working so we couldn’t shower. Also there were no sheets on the upstairs bed. When we texted the management company they did inform us there were extra sheets in the downstairs bedroom but after a long drive we just wanted to shower (which we couldn’t do ) and plop into bed.They offered to send someone out, but it was 10 pm and we were exhausted. We then didn’t hear from anyone in the morning so I texted and told them not to come into the house because we were leaving and we had two dogs in the house. We found out later that they came in the house anyway! The dogs are friendly but if they had gotten out they may have run away! Not happy about that! The management company did give us a small partial refund for one of the night’s (for our inconvenience) but it didn’t seem to be adequate for the issues. So after explaining (complaining) the issues to them again they gave us a refund of the pet fee. Finally, the stairs to the upstairs bedroom and living area are very steep and not deep enough to step on if you have mobility challenges. Our 85 year old parents (who were staying at another place) could not use those stairs so they had to come up the back deck stairs to enter. I felt like this is important to mention in the description in case you have mobility issues.

Hi Lisa, thanks for staying with us and for taking the time to write all this up. Glad the location, the living space, the kitchen and the hot tub all worked for you. A shower that doesn't work and a bed without sheets is not how anyone should start a trip, especially after a long drive, and we're sorry that's what you walked into. We're also sorry about the mix-up with someone coming by the house after your message. All of these issues have been corrected. You're right about the stairs, too. They are steep, so anyone with mobility concerns should know the back deck stairs are another way in. Great location and great place to stay

Our group was in town for an archery event nearby and the location was perfect. Its peaceful and quiet but close to everything. It is an older house but well taken care of. Would definitely recommend.

Cute & functional 3 BR house. Was great for our spring skiing trip at Killington.

Presidents Day weekend ski trip

Property was as described. Clean and comfortable, only issue was with bathroom sink not working. Due to snowstorm, it was difficult to get maintenance, host was responsive and friendly. We had a great time though and would recommend for rental. Location was perfect for quick trips to the mountains, both Killington and Pico were very close.
