Just 1 hour from Halifax, it’s a peaceful nature retreat perfect for couples, friends, or small families. Enjoy coastal views, stargazing, cozy movie nights with the projector, and quiet, private surroundings year-round.

A 3 person inflatable hot tub (surprisingly good) is available on request.

Cottage Highlights:

Cozy Living Space: A 5-seater sofa (comfortably sleeps one adult), a Full HD cinema projector with a cinema sound system, BluRay player (includes streaming), and a collection of DVDs, for cozy movie nights.

Well-Equipped Kitchen: Features a dishwasher and everything you need to prepare delicious meals.

Rory was very responsive and helpful and gave great tips for the area. The A-frame is absolutely perfect - the large bed is very comfortable, kitchen has everything you need, the projector is great, and the hot tub is amazing! The property is beautiful with little trails, a flying fox, little ‘stage area’ with view of the ocean, and private shoreline access. Amazing star watching on clear nights!

Rory was super responsive from beginning to end! The property was beautiful, and full of trails to discover - we only realized there was a hidden lagoon and paddle board on the last day! View is amazing, but perhaps a few outdoor activities would help entertain the older kids: horseshoe pits, a vball net, cornhole, and a BBQ and outdoor patio table would be welcome additions! We would have loved use of the hottub, but it wasn't ready quite yet. The projector and movie services were much appreciated, as were the super comfy beds! Rory, thanks for taking care of us and sharing your beautiful cottage! It was perfect.

Honeymoon in quiet nature

This was our delayed honeymoon and one year of marriage celebration. We wanted a quiet time surrounded by nature; away from mechanical noises. This cottage was the best we found! Particularly it was very close to where I was a speaker at a weekend natural building conference. We delighted when we arrived to find bunnies playing unafraid in the yard. Later a porcupine visited us, along with numerous birds. The old fruit and nut trees were just opening their buds. Spring arriving gloriously. The ocean view was lovely and we enjoyed walks down to the ocean. The host responded quickly, favorably, and generously to our every need and request. We left feeling a good rapport with him. His suggestions for places to experience nature were excellent, including one that allowed us a little known access to a beach and trail. We were just before the parks and beaches opened for the season, so we were delighted to have so many beaches all to ourselves! The cottage was rustic with modern kitchen and bath that made our week's cooking joyful. The loft ladder was too steep for us at 70 and 74 to sleep in, particularly for night time access to the bathroom which seniors need. But younger folks would find the loft enchanting. Good that there was a separate bedroom downstairs. We both relaxed more and more each day. My wife and I very much recommend this retreat! We hope to come again.

Séjour rustique et authentique

Le séjour dans ce chalet a été très authentique et relaxant. L’endroit est très paisible et l’accès au bord de l’eau est spectaculaire. Le chalet est bien équipé, mais assez rustique. Il faut être avisé de cela avant de venir! Nous avons apprécié les petits sentiers sur le terrain et la communication rapide avec le propriétaire lorsque nous avions des questions.
