This condo needs some TLC

I was really excited to find this condo last minute in such a great location in Vineyard. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet expectations. Upon arrival, we found the owner’s wet clothes still in the washing machine, which was pretty off-putting. The kitchen was also very understocked. For a listing that claims to sleep 5, there weren’t even enough plates, bowls, cups, or silverware for everyone. Basic kitchen tools were missing—including kitchen knives, towels, and a can opener.There was also a surprising lack of essentials for a two-week stay. We were provided with very limited toilet paper, paper towels, and no basic cleaning supplies. The vacuum appeared to have never been emptied and was not usable in its condition.If you’re planning to work from the condo, be aware that the upstairs neighbors have a dog that barks throughout the day and into the evening. You can hear everything from footsteps to voices and flushing toilets. On top of that, the WiFi was unreliable, frequently dropping out, with no signal in the bedrooms—making it especially difficult for remote work.While the outdoor areas initially looked enjoyable, they were overrun with bugs and not really usable. Despite reaching out to the property manager, Evolve, and VRBO during our stay, none of our concerns were addressed.The location is definitely a highlight, but the condition and management of the property left a lot to be desired.

Hot mess

Not as advertised. There was no access or key fob left for the Jacuzzi. There was not one single glass to drink out of. Not one coffee cup. You advertise it sleeps five yet there were three plates and three bowls. No cooking utensils nothing to cut food or prepare food that I had purchased to eat at the condo. Clearly there was a second climate control in the master suite that was locked, and the heat would not turn off. sadly, I will never stay here again, and I’m here often for work. The neighbors upstairs were so loud I could hear the toilet flushing. The fact that I could not watch basic news channel was frustrating, especially when I couldn’t get my next my Netflix password inputted correctly. The fact when I did my initial search and had picked Jacuzzi/pool in the filter system, this property popped up. The fact that I was not given access to the gym, nor the Jacuzzi was such a disappointment, not to mention with the amount of money that I paid, I could not stay in a master suite. i’m giving this to two only because it was clean. However, both the loveseats were stained and again, not comfortable to sit there and lounge and watch TV at the end of my workday, even if there was basic cable or news channels that I could watch. The fact alone that the master was locked off was nothing short of creepy as a single woman. I actually had trouble sleeping and thinking somebody was in the master because the heat would not turn off.Terrible I’m so bummed. I’m so disappointed,

Hi Erin, we want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that’s fully ready for a relaxing and enjoyable stay, so we took your feedback seriously and followed up with the homeowner, who wanted to share the following:- The listing includes access to two bedrooms and one bathroom, and we don’t advertise the master suite as part of the rental- We confirmed there’s only one thermostat in the home, and it’s not located in or connected to the locked-off suite- We double-checked the kitchen and found water tumblers, coffee cups, pans, and bowls stocked in the cupboards—but we’ll take another look to make sure everything’s ready for future guests- We don’t advertise access to the pool, Jacuzzi, or gym, and we’re sorry for any confusion that may’ve happened during your searchThanks again for your thoughtful feedback. This is a new vacation rental owner, and we’re working closely with them to make sure everything’s taken care of for a great guest experience moving forward.
