Michelle, that East Suite jacuzzi is something special, and hearing it hit the mark for a romantic stay makes our day. The walk to Main Street is one of those details that sounds small until you realize you can stroll back from dinner without worrying about a car. Next time you visit, ask about the Hill Country wineries within easy reach of the house. Several are just a short drive and pair perfectly with another evening in that suite.

Susana, bitten off food in the kitchen and cars in the driveway is not a home anyone should walk into, and you were right to leave. The porch clutter, overgrown yard, and dust should never have passed as ready. The house is off the calendar as of now, getting a full deep clean top to bottom, water jugs and stored items removed, yard and porch cleared and cut back, and no arrival until a manager has walked it in person with same-day photos. If you give Fredericksburg another go, I would like to put you in a home I have personally checked and show you what these places look like when we do our job. Regarding your interaction with the gentleman who entered the property, we understand how that might have felt unsettling. To clarify, he is the longtime owner of the Gillespie House and formerly welcomed guests personally when it operated solely as a bed and breakfast. While his intent was to greet and offer hospitality, we understand your concerns.
