About the host
Hosted by Frank & Becky Thompson

Hello! Frank and Becky Thompson here.
Married in 1987, we now have four adult children, two sons-in-law, and two grandsons. As entrepreneurs in the process of slowing down, we enjoy our church activities, improving our rentals, meeting new people - especially our rental guests, and traveling when we can.
Entrepreneurship has been quite central in our lives, with Frank first operating a mobile gymnastics company and then a full-service tree company. Becky was always in the mix and still managed to homeschool our children and teach homeschool classes for others. With gymnastics and trees behind us and our kids launched, we now focus most on our rental properties, which have gradually and happily become full-time jobs.
Our rental journey began in 2015 when Frank converted our first property, formerly his office for Thompson Tumblers, into a lovely two-bedroom apartment. Even though the NW Houston area is not a vacation destination, the business model was perfect for families in the growing area who were between homes, businessmen on temporary assignment, traveling nurses, and retirees visiting down south to avoid harsh winter weather. With that one success and Frank's love for home rehabilitation, we joined the fix-and-flip craze, dropped the flip, and began adding properties. As of this writing, we are up to 9 properties in Tomball, Magnolia, and Cypress.
Our favorite part of it all is the people. We have met fascinating folks from all walks of life, even all over the world. Best of all, this business has not only blessed us. Our homes have served countless people - some displaced by storm damage, some stranded in the area by health issues while on vacation, missionaries here on furlough, professional ball players in the off-season, people in the area to care for sick and aging relatives, and of course, many here for holidays and celebrations. It is a blessing to be a blessing, and we pray our properties will bless many more individuals in the future.
