LAKE LURE WILL NOT BE OPEN FOR RECREATIONAL BOATING, FISHING, OR SWIMMING IN THE 2025 SEASON. Although the lake is closed and lowered while Hurricane Helene cleanup continues, there is much that our beautiful foothills area has to offer. LAKE ADGER, SHUMONT LAKE, LAKE LANIER, and MIRROR LAKE suffered no damage, so homes and those lakes are available. BALD MOUNTAIN LAKE in the resort is open and beautiful. We are welcoming guests in over 60 beautiful homes to use as a "home base" for visiting nearby towns, restaurants, shops, hiking areas, and seasonal special events in Lake Lure, Hendersonville, Asheville, Black Mountain, Saluda, and Tryon. Golf is open to the public at Rumbling Bald, and local area wineries, breweries, trails, and music are within an hour's drive. Many of the Chimney Rock shops are set up at the Tryon International Equestrian Center Pavilion. Chimney Rock Park is now open!

Welcome to your Mountain Get-Away, nestled in the Foothills just east of Lake Lure toward the west end of Rutherfordton, NC. Just 1.5 miles to US Hwy 64/74A (the main road running east/west between Lake Lure and Rutherfordton).

The woods surrounding the home give it a relaxing feel. Inside, the cottage/cabin feel is enhanced by vaulted wood ceilings. A small loft/sitting area overlooks the living room and is outside of the two upper-level bedrooms.

There are three bedrooms and 1.5 baths, and a fully functional kitchen.
The Fireplace has floor-to-ceiling stonework & gas logs.
The back deck has an electric SunSetter cover with a remote, awaiting your enjoyment of the wooded backdrop and natural surroundings. Enjoy birdwatching & wildlife passing through every day.

There are no TV’s in this home.

Many conveniences in the surrounding area ~ Including Grocery Shopping within 7 Miles of Lake Lure, & 14-16 Miles to Rutherfordton or Columbus. Short drive to the Lake Lure Beach Area,
Welcome Center & the Lake Lure Washburn Marina (9.5 Miles). The Flowering Bridge, the Chimney Rock Village & State Park are just beyond. In Mill Spring, the TIEC~Tryon Equestrian Center is only 12 Miles away.


The home has 1616 SqFt and is on 3/4 of an acre.
